not bad price at all.......but considering Panasonic have new versions out from june 2010.
#11
what does house of fraser warranty cover?
same things as the john lewis one?
normal breakdown/failure, no set time limit on pickup or repair.
loan tv?
#12
Shame it's not online but a GREAT price if you can get one. I doubt there's an LCD screen out there that can beat it.
#13
This tv is awesome, fantastic buy for what you get
#14
Had this tv for about 2 years, This is an absolute steal at this price. very very good tv.
#15
Does the tv come with a stand?
#16
Mixed reviews from CNET and trusted reviews. What is the score these days between plasma and LCD? I have recently become slightly and temporarily richer due to a minor-moderate bonus and this is seriously tempting me.

Anyone have this and comment on its abiity in brighter ambient conditions?
#17
Sorry if this is a really obvious question (i know nothing about plasmas), but does this have a noisy fan on it? My mate has a plasma and the fan noise can be a bit much.

Anyone recommend any good 37inch Pana deals?

I'd agree. I had and returned the G10. Yes its a good telly but the picture was marginally better and couldn't justify £200+ for picture you could barely the difference on.

At £499 i'd bite their arm off. I paid £799 for this last October with a bluray player bundled in and that was as a steal imo - at £499 its a no brainer!
#28
Just reserve one! Phoned up and he said there were quite a few round the business!
Very Happy!!
#29
Fantastic price. No where near as good as the sony 40" LCD on the other week, but is £100 cheaper.
#30
Just reserved one. Yabba dabba doooooo! Many thanks to the OP for spotting it. H of F tv stands start at £112.50. Can anyone recommend a good alternative stand for it?
#31
Looks a good deal. Is it better than the M&S Sony LCD offer (which has now expired!)?
#32
bournemouth is a bit of a drive from soton but am tempted as only have 32" lcd 1080i at the mo
not sure if i can justify a new one

whats the main differences between lcd and plasma please, i could wait as lcd prices seem to be getting lower
#33
Much blacker blacks. Films, esp animated one's will look more dramatic and dynamic since you have such a difference in colour between the colours and the darkness in the shadows etc. Much better than LCD in this respect.
#34
thanks matt

quick search brought up this samsung at 479 http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/526592/SAMSUNG-PS42B450B1WXXU?cm_sp=FeatureEnd-_--_-position

is this that much better?
#35
Panasonic is miles better than that one - that has a resolution of 720p, this is 1080p. For £20 more, i'd buy this Panasonic every time.
#36
thanks, just had a look at it does look impressive, think i might have to make a phone call, fingers crossed ;-)
#37
I paid £479 for the 32" version of this LCD TV from JL a few weeks ago so this is an excellent price!

P.S For any gamers out there this TV has very little input lag!
#38
i have p42x10 at the moment. would this be a worthy upgrade?
#39
dam, bournemouth don't sell tv's and not sure any others in south close enough do either :-(

Guildford have stock arriving tomorrow ;-)
#40
Thanks for this OP, have reserved one
