Is it good for gaming?

From the AVForums review provided by the deal poster:

Gaming Performance

By switching in to the Game Mode from the Options submenu in the Picture Menu, it is possible to reduce input lag down to 57 milliseconds, bar Dynamic, which is slightly lower at 52. Neuther figure is likely to thrill a really competitive gamer but it proved sufficient for our trivial single player pursuits. You can get Dynamic in to some sort of usable state with the picture controls but for 5 milliseconds, we’ll pass.
I have compared Panasonic TX-48AS640 with Sony KDL50W829 which is nearly £175 more than the Panasonic and Panasonic has some very smart features like Freetime, Anywhere TV and for this price, one cannot go wrong I suppose.
Would say for all those who are planning to buy 4K models, when you hardly are getting any 4K content, they should hold fire on 4K and consider this Panasonic model which is a perfect replacement for next 3-4 years with half the price, excellent picture quality and great reviews
If this had a 5yr warranty on it, then i'd be all over it
Have a look at next deal above. Cheapest. Currys too expensive.
This model apparently is exclusive to Currys/PC world so no other price options available and seems no 5 year guarantee on this. Still, a good piece of kit for this price
Mine came today from pix mania managed to get it for £439 on there countdown sale, so far so good :-D liked this unit since I seen it in currys for 699, nice and sleek TV and not flimsy like ones I've experienced like the new Sony sets, solid stand too
