If anyone got stung like I did on the recent Tesco Direct deal at £250 for the model below this one, you may be interested in this deal which uses the current discount code to come out at £329.41. If Quidco tracks at 3.2% you'll get it for £318.86. Still £70 more than the Tesco deal was but about as good as you'll get now. FWIW Tesco are now selling theirs for £379.97.

PS - obviously I know this seems expensive but that's because all the best deals are on bigger screens. If you only want a 26in TV like me then this is a good price.

Marketing blurb:

This Panasonic Viera TX-L26X10 26" HD Ready LCD TV offers unusually high picture quality for a television in this size class. In addition it benefits from Panasonic's reliability and a smart no-nonsense design that will suit most rooms.

The 26-inch LCD panel is a premium unit with a 178-degree viewing angle, 40,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a High Definition resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Ideal for viewing HD content such as Blu-ray Disc movies or television broadcasts, the Panasonic Viera TX-L26X10 is a smart choice as a primary TV in a smaller home or a secondary set for the bedroom or kitchen.

The Panasonic Viera TX-L26X10 boasts superb built-in speakers that fill the room with vibrant sound - again quite rare in this class. It also includes a wide variety of connectivity options, including 3 HDMI connectors, 2 legacy SCART sockets, a PC input for using the display as a computer monitor, and even an SD memory card slot for viewing slideshows of your digital photos!

If you're picky about quality, have a close look at the Panasonic Viera TX-L26X10 26" HD Ready LCD TV. It won't disappoint!

* V-Audio surround - For a surround affect
* Digital tuner - to watch Freeview channels
* HD Ready 720p - Great quality on HD sources
* 3xHDMI inputs - HD quality connection
* PC input - also use as a PC monitor

Panasonic Viera's are some of the best sets up there, still a lot of money to pay for a 26". When were tesco doing it for £250? Could have really done with that deal! :(

A couple of weeks ago. Going by the thread on here quite a number were stung like I was and didn't get their order.

By the way the one Tesco were selling was a cut down version of this one. This has more HDMI ports.

I've give it some warmth as it is for a panny, i personally just cannot justify paying over £300 for a 26" set no matter how good the quality.

That's Tesco's for you, same happened to me for a 360 game. I'd recommend anyone buying elsewhere if they can, they cannot be trusted to honour anything they print.

Yeah well I know it's not *cheap* as such, but it's a pretty good price. The Tesco offer was clearly a mistake when you consider how fast they went and the price they've now got it at - £130 more!

This is for the parents and they don't want anything bigger than a 26in. Unfortunately you pay a premium for them. This is meant to be the best all-rounder because the Samsung has terrible sound.

More than happy with my Tesco purchase, picked it up in store there and then for £250.
It was only for the bedroom so £250 was my limit, anything over £300 is alot for a 26" as most will not use it as the main set and it will spend its life in the bedroom , kitchen etc.

Quality product and the best 26" your going to get just not really sure many would be concerned with the extra hdmi ports for a bedroom tv.

Not voting either way as its the cheapest for this model at the moment

Not voting either way but I would NEVER pay this for a 26" inch set. Why would you when you can get decent 32"s cheaper? Doesn't make sense to me.

Not everyone wants a TV that big. It's as simple as that.

Unfortunately if you want a decent 26in you're paying a lot for it because they're not as popular.

Makes perfect sense to me... I don't want a big 32" TV in my bedroom! 26 inches is perfect.

32" is big, what do you wear TRIPLE GLAZED GLASSES :thinking:. you buy 25" pc monitors so 26" is too small for a tv unless your bed or stool is placed a foot in front of it gosh
#14
I considered responding directly to the last two posts but I've decided they're just too pathetic to justify it.
#15
I have a 22" monitor, and sit about 6 feet away from it.
Certainly wouldn't want it 1 foot away.
Do that for a few hours every day and your eyes will suffer.

Does anyone know of a cheap 26 inch tv for bedroom around £200????

fact is £330 for a 26" cant be justified by you or anyone, this is shown through your post by several people and the lack of heat its getting...all i'm saying is if you just want a 26" panny go for a cheaper one, however it may lack the features this one has but there is no extraordinary difference and is £115 cheaper..http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/11828615/Panasonic-26-TX-26LXD8-HD-Ready-Freeview-LCD-TV/Product.html?ptsl=1&ob=Price&fb=0&&_$ja=tsid:11518|cc:|prd:11828615|cat:LCD

Er, I don't want an old refurbished model, thanks. I want this one as a gift for my parents, and this is the cheapest price for it by £30+.

Couldn't give a toss what heat the deal gets, I've put it on here for people like me who missed out on the £250 deal and I made that quite clear in the OP.

This site is absolutely ridiculous at times with idiots coming on giving their misinformed opinion on deals they clearly have no interest in. Unless you can find a new Panasonic TX-L26X10 for less than this somewhere else, wind your neck in.
