Seems expensive for a 32", but Panasonic are brill tellies and it's Freeview HD.
#6
As impressive as the specs are that price is too much for a 32" IMO
#7
Not with freesat and freeview HD it's not, specially if 32" is the biggest size that won't look silly in your room. Cmon what more do ya want!?

can this be used with laptop/pc? vga. 1:1 pixel mapping? is it dnla?

I remember seeing a similar Panasonic 32" LED backlit TV recently (may not have been the same model) and the standard definition Freeview picture quality didn't look that good although some adjustments might have made it better.

Got a sony 40" with Freeview HD and SUb etc for 399 in january so this isnt a very good deal for a 32"

Ridiculous comment as it won't have had an IPS screen! For an LCD blacks are the most natural I have ever seen. Most reviews only slated the price but that was at £1000 at launch so this is a very good deal and freesat hd is great.

That being said apart from the HD channels, Freeview used to look better on my 32-LZD85 although fettling with the numerous options I have got it looking ok.

Watch two LCD TV's side by side and the black levels on these are amazing, also because it's an IPS screen the viewing angle is fantastic from virtually a full 180 degrees!

This is a top spec 32" TV, it's a great deal. LED, 100 Hz, Freeview and Freesat, Skype etc etc. These TVs are very very stylish (imo). I don't think you can really compare to a sub £400 40/42", as they will be completely different products.
#13
If you are not sure it's a good deal or not just go onto Amazon and compare prices. I did and £545 on there. Seems like a good buy especially with all the extra bumf you get with it.
#14
Shame about the colour options.
Purple ?!
#15
presumably this can do iplayer over freesat?

Your just one of those, that reads reviews, and opinions and thinks that they are 100% true, It isn't worth that big a price difference for a this because its a LED, LED's are coming as standard nowadays.
#17
how does this compare to the sammy 32c580?

Certainly worth the extra bit of money for the LED/FREESAT HD anyway.
#19
Good deal, white TV's tend to cost more.
#20
...although just watched the video, its not that thin!
#21
This set suffers with backlight bleed in the bottom left corner. I've sent 2 back and WHF also noted this on their review of the 37" version.
#22
Also sound quality is very poor
#23
We have the 37 inch one at our house in France paid £699 which seems a lot but we wanted freesat built in so we didn't have to get a box, great as you can watch uk tv over. One of the best tvs we've had and we have 50 inch plasma tv. The picture etc is spot on. So this 32 inch seems like a great deal!!
#24
I'm after a white or purple surround tv for the bedroom. What other tvs are there in white or purple?
32 inch is a little small for me, I'd prefer 37 inches

I never mentioned LED???

IPS = in plane switching

I don't go off the reviews I go and have a look at the tv next to a competitor and judge it by merit. Having spent 7 years in a major electrical firm I can use my eyes to see the difference. So I stand by my comment that you can't say it's bad value because you got a 40" tv for the same price!

white all day long!

This is a quality tv, cut above brands like LG, Samsung...its a piece of beauty as well! I got the 32" a few months ago at £427 and its just awesome for movies, gaming and connecting your laptop to. At this price now its a no brainer if your looking for one of the best 32" out there.
#31
im looking for a tv for my new loft conversion, it will be a bedroom, im going to invest in a dish for freesat but would like to know can the usb slots be used to add a hard drive for recording tv and is there any tv that has freesat that you can pause live tv on or is it only possible via a separate receiver.

IMO that statement is now out of date. I don't know the LG sets that well, but some of the Sammys more then give this a run for its money. Infact I would suggest the C580/C5800 is better in almost every respect.

However, white TV's generally command a premium and despite the prominence some people give to reviews, which TV you like is often subjective. Therefore I would always suggest you go and see a few sets if possible.

had this tv delivered on Friday after looking for ages. There is nothing out there that compares at this proce with Freeview HD and Freesat. The screen is amazing and the purple is more like a dark grey - do not be put off. Overall, an excellent buy
#34
The Purple frame is actually really sleek - it looks great on this set.
#35
So tempted to get the purple one for my bedroom, I bought the 37 inch version at Christmas in silver and love it. Anyone know what the guarantee is on this please, I bought mine from JL and got 5 year guarantee for £699.
#36
ps, any valid discount codes for this please?
#37
ive just ordered one! delivery on sunday! any feedback on dixons sunday delivery???
the internet functions i think are limited on this but can you get iplayer on freesat? as long as you have internet connection?? or does the tv have to have spetial function? its not to important to me as it will be close to a pc anyway but i would not mind knowing.
#38
Thank you missgem, great deal :)
