he is probably getting mixed with the "S" or "X" ( Can't remember which one!) series of Panasonic plasma.

for a 42" G10 that is an excellent price with 5 yrs warranty!

Might be worth reading this thread from AVForums this weekend for those considering a 'G' series Panny. In short, the comparisons concluded there is no benefit to be had over the cheaper 'X' series, indeed some considerable drawbacks.

I ordered a 50" G 10 last saturday morning, went back into the shop on Sunday and cancelled.. just not convinced that the SD peformance is up to that of the X10, given that 90% of our viewing is SD......... Im afraid I am stuck in analysis paralysis mode:thinking:

the problem with buying a bit of tech (which is outdated as soon as it hits the shops) is that if you look closely enough there will be something that will make you unhappy. the only true proof is ownership.

I took weeks deciding on a tv by reading over analysed reviews. I went for an lcd lg lf7700 and had to return it as picture on sd was terrible. I now have the panasonic 46 inch G10, and it is awesome, looks great on sd, looks great for blu rays and great for games. I have all the settings turned down to 'break in' the plasma screen and it still looks great. I own it and recommend it.
