Can get a much cheaper 42 from Tesco tbh
#4
This looks like the cheapest price in the country at the moment, excluding Costco where you need to be a member and pick it up, you do get a 5 year warranty with Costco if you continue your membership for the full five years though.

Costco prices; 42 inch for £822, 46 inch for around £950 and the 50 inch for £1057

50" full HD plasma tv - 600mhz £599 at richer sounds.

I still think this TV will come down much cheaper over the next 3-4 weeks and yes there are better value TVs out there but have to admit I haven't seen THIS model cheaper elsewhere at the moment.

I was going to write a constructive response... but I can't be bothered, anyone who is interested can read a review and make up their own minds.

Here's the review for the TV linked in the OP... all TV's are not the same.

I bought the LG 50" full hd plasma for £599 from richer sounds.. i know not all tvs are the same but id rather have that for £599 than pay £795 for a 42"

All depends on the size you neand if its 42" this is one i have the G10 and wow !!

Why all the negative comments, it's a very good price for a new model Panasonic. Whether there are cheaper older makes and models at Richer Sounds or anywhere else is totally irrelevent. Comment on the product in hand.

You favour quantity over quality then  Me I'd rather have a better picture, that's what TV's are for after all and a poorer picture stretched over more inches isn't going to make it any better :whistling:

I love some of the comments on this deal, 'I can get something worse for less money' isn't a good reason to vote cold, being able to get this TV or equivalent cheaper elsewhere is *sigh*

I'd prefer to have what i bought than a panasonic - Personal opinon. :p

This is a very very good model, top of the range plasma. However, price is not that much low at pixmania. Amazon , costco are roughly same.
600hz refresh rate, freeview HD , freesat, USB interface, SD card slot, inbuilt recording feature with some sort of inbuilt storage capacity. Beleive me this is the best Plasma.

Yes this TV is supposedly now using the world famous Pioneer Kuro technology that was considered the best screen you could buy. So if I already did not have a Fujitsu plasma this would be the one anyone should go for...

It says "personal" opinion.... I think its right... thats all that matters to me

Very good price for an excellent tv. If you get a demonstration of the tv from your local Panasonic dealer and buy from them, Panasonic will give you a free 5 year warranty

If you're happy with your TV that's great, it's when you start posting about how great it is on a deal for a TV that all the critics say is about as good as it gets in the current market that your "personal" opinion becomes a valid target for scrutiny. Until the Panasonic V series and top end 2010 ranges from other manufacturers hit the streets the G20's are as near to a Pioneer Kuro (best flat screen TV's ever made) you're going to get.

Not quite, the G series is based on last years top end V series. It is this years V series (specifically the VT) that is supposed to be using some Kuro tech brought in by the ex-Pioneer engineers Panasonic employed. Until they hit the shelves and start getting some concrete reviews any Kuro beating is pure speculation, but they do look good.

Can get a much cheaper 42 from Tesco tbh

lol! Yes you can but it wont be this TV! And in no way will it be the same quality! What a stupid comment to make.

Put the Tesco Special Cheapo Tecktronic (if you want cheap) or the Best Samsung next to it and it will not be better.
If you want cheap you will find it but you get what you pay for.

Lets put this persons comment in the stupid comments bin lol

I know this is a monumental bump, but I can only laugh at anyone who actually believed this post was in the slightest bit serious.
