Description
Panasonic brings you one of their latest inventions; the superb Panasonic TX-P42X10B a technologically advanced Home Entertainment System made especially for you, the clued up individual who knows exactly what you are looking for.
Panasonic TX-P42X10B features 100Hz Double Scan which helps to deliver smoother, flawless images from Blu-Ray / DVD players and Digital Satellite. You will certainly appreciate this when you sit down in the comfort of your own living room to watch your favourite movie.
24P Playback on the Panasonic VIERA TXP42X10 will send shivers along your spine when you view impressive colours and high contrast this function offers. Panasonic VIERA TXP 0X10B offers much more than other Home Cinema Systems, as 24P Playback also exceeds the level of quality of Blu-ray Disc films by increasing the 24P signal (original rate) to 96 HZ.

The well-created TXP42X10 model features 720/1080I HD ready (1024x768 resolution) to show you only the highest quality images for maximum enjoyment. The resolution ensures your TV Viewing of programmes and movies is close to human vision.

The Panasonic TXP42X10 also has VIERA Image Viewer which does just as it name suggests; allows you to view images taken on your LUMIX Digital camera and camcorder. To take advantage of this you only need to insert an SD Card into VIERAs card slot and then get ready to impress your friends and family with holiday snaps.

With VIERA Image Viewer on the TXP42X10 why not create your very own slideshow using favourite photos and motion images! And, for extra fun you can add background music. With Panasonic Viera TX-P42X10B the choice is yours.
No doubt, you are fed up of having to locate the relevant AV channel input, switch back and forth between different remote controls just to operate your devices and Home Cinema Systems. This is why Panasonic engineers cleverly created VIERA Link.
Smart Networking with VIERA Link functionality enables you to now operate the entire entertainment system by using one remote control to flick through the on-screen menu, giving you more time to enjoy your selected entertainment.

Your Panasonic VIERA TXP42X10B features three HDMI Inputs so that you can quickly connect various devices such as Blu-ray Disc players to your TV. You will be pleased to know this saves a lot of time and hassle.

Go for the Panasonic TX-P42G10B if you want 1080p. I bought this via hotukdeals over a month ago from John Lewis £699 including blu-ray player, 7 free blu-ray dvds, 5 year warranty on tv and 2 year warranty on dvd player.
Great TV, go 1080p if you can afford the little extra!

I think it means its a 720p resolution TV but it upscales the images by interlacing the image (the 'i' bit ). Basically better than 720p but not as good as 1080p ('p' = pixel).
But someone out there is bound to give a more technical reply!
