It's currently £279.99 at Argos and Co Op Electrical.

You can also buy refurbished for £239 from Panasonic eBay outlet.

Not a lot for telly like that

I got one months ago. It's alright.

Good price for the TV

... it's only 720p. Noooo, why did I say it!?!

Lack of wifi built in annoys me, you have to get an adaptor. Otherwise it's fine. 4 hdmi slots is nice.
#6
Oops I have a different model. Looks the same but it isn't. Ignore my comments.

WRONG!
This TV has no network connectivity, the ETHERNET port is for software updates only. It also had TWO HDMI ports (one with audio return).

I bought one from the Hayes store yesterday.
There were 2 left after I bought one for my Dad.
For what he needs it for this is an absolute steal!

You can play files via USB however

I had this TV. amazing picture, great depth and of course amazing for gaming (little or no input lag). sky HD is only 720 /1080i anyway.
#12
also, ridiculously low price.

Yep 2 slots, great TV for the price, I keep commenting when I see these come up on offer. Not the best standard definition picture but all HD inputs looks great although all my inputs are 720 anyway... Virgin Media Box, Now TV(plex media streaming) and Xbox.

Sainsbury's were quite helpful in finding out availability in other stores. On the barcode there is: TX-P42X60B, FE-3640249, AAA.

Great find.

Lovely picture quality, buy it while you can. The only company making plasma now is LG and their sets have never matched Panasonic in PQ.

It even has a Heisenberg look-a-like on the box :)

I bought the same TV (very slightly different as mine is European spec) about a month ago for the world cup for equiv of £265 and it's OK but not exactly mind-blowing - especially compared to my big old CRT Sony!

Lots of tweeks on the colour etc made it better and it certainly looks well-made.

Extremely easy set-up.

brilliant tv I bought literally 2day ago at this price and it pees all over the LG 47inch led I bought (and returned)

You can't beat a budget Panny plasma. Good price, decent 720p image and SD material still looks good in comparisons to most full HD LCD sets.
#30
i got the 37 and 50 inch panny as i like the picture and wasnt fussed by the 1080p tv

also people think that with a 1080p tv having a sd will look brilliant - it wont

the picture is only dependant on the sauce you feed it

That's true enough - mine out abroad was much sharper on the USB stick than on satellite TV, probably our TV feed is rubbish

I have this TV and it's great for the money. Put it in cinema mode and you have an excellent starting point for tweaking the picture. If you like the artificial bright picture you get with some lcd tvs you may be disappointed. But if you like a nice natural picture you'll love it
