That was the case last year, it's not now. Nobody knows how the 2010 models will look also (though they'll likely be well overpriced initially).

The S10 is a nice set though. It'd be worth paying the little extra for a G10 if you have lots of daylight in your viewing room though, cos of the extra anti-glare coating.

They are very good, but Pioneer make the best Plasma's, always have

THEY MIGHT HAVE ALWAYS "HAD". BUT THATS A PAST TENSE, SEEING HOW THEY DONT MAKE THEM ANYMORE. SO THE NEW WINNER IS ....PANASONIC BY DEFAULT

Sadly Pioneer have disbanded there tv making business, however they are shortly going to be in some sort of partnership with Panasonic

I love Panasonic plasmas. My mate has one(42" G10), I have one (th50px60) and my parents have two (50"G10 and 42" px80) and they have been fantastic. And all have a 5year warranty.

I couldn't recommend Panasonic enough

very good deal. recently bought this from comet for 735 with just 2 yr warranty. would have gone for this deal at JL had I known it was coming!

good price, but if you can afford it, go for the G model its a lot better..

Out of stock now.

Also, on some of the posts above, may want to note that the S10 and G10 have different panels, the G10 being marginally better (and therefore more expensive, that's just under a grand online at the moment) but this is still a great TV.

After a lot of deliberation I went fot this model (42 inch) instead of the G10
and so far after initial running in Blu ray/HD dvd is superb on this set.
I was worried Freeview would be poor as it s1080p but its great, cant see how it could
look any better on an HD ready plasma anyway.
