interesting, from wikipedia:

"Church of Scientology & Panda Software
As Panda Software was founded by a scientologist, The Ministry of Education has advised schools in France not to contract with Panda and to stop using its software. On May 3rd, 2001, an official of the Rectorat of Montpellier, a Ministry of National Education entity for the city of Montpellier, sent a letter to Colleges under the Rectorat’s jurisdiction in France. It instructs colleges to cease using it."

yeah thats right but you will get only 1 user licence when upgrading from 2006

if the 2008 oem is a 3 user licence its worth the money :)

99.9% of viruses are written for windows.

http://www.ununtu.com

Free operating system with the only thing that is 99.9% with it - is the percentage of additional software that is free.

The next time you pay for windows software - think of what you would rather be doing with the money.

The only time it wont suit you is if you play games written for windows.

I purchased the 2006 version last year and did exactly as you describe except it was update to 2007. I'd go for the 2006 version.......

Ununtu?? ;-)

Best of luck getting a job with your Ubuntu skillz.

Ubuntu is a form of Linux - more large servers run Linux than windows.

Most people use computers for home use - unless you want to play games, why pay for an inferior product.

it actually says get upgrade to 2008 in original post about the £1 product.

Buy 3 times and you get same 3 licences for £3 but with option to drop your one next year if you dont like it but keep other two on if say for kids or family pc.

"edit" The actual website link does say 2007 upgrade... my bad
