Yeah Peter I need the other features like the parental controls not just the antivirus. I am replacing norton internet security not norton antivirus.
Free is good too. :)
Retail from the panda site for 2007 version is £42.99 and includes protection for upto 3 pc's so i am guessing the ebuyer OEM version will be the same.

Be very suspicious of Panda Antivirus software - it is a business linked to the Church of Scientology and was banned from use in schools in France because of its links to this cult.
This may not bother you - it may not be a problem - but it's something to be aware of.

Feel free to google 'scientology panda antivirus'.

I already mentioned Panda in yesterdays thread
http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89082

It not really a hot deal as its usually this price from Ebuyer. The software isn't the best out there but for occassional dialup users it'd probably be okay....

If you have broadband go for the F-Secure Internet Security
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/122781 at £17.50

PC Pro recommends this as the best Internet Suite...

Please bear in mind that this is the Panda Platinum Internet Security 2006 OEM version...Not just the antivirus!!!
Posted this as it is different to...
Tesco Antivirus Software £9.97 Powered by Panda Antivirus (buy one get one free)
:whistling:

Although the F-Secure looks good if not a little more expensive :)

You mean am I serious that it's linked to Scientology (which you could've checked via google or wikipedia as easily as you typed that reply) or serious that it's something to be aware of?
Yes - I think it's something worth being aware of. If you don't care, that's fine.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panda_Software#Church_of_Scientology_.26_Panda_Software

http://www.rickross.com/reference/scientology/france/france17.html

etc.

It isn't very polite to 'Lol' and direct multiple eye-rolls at someone just because they're suggesting that giving money to a company which gives money to a cult might be something people should think about before they decide to do it. Big Tom Cruise fan, I guess?

hey, if u have virgin as your broadband supplier, then you should get free s/w from them as well - parental control, antivirus, spyware etc etc etc
I use that on one PC but my PC makes use of AVG and Sygate Firewall. Never had any problems and everything is totally free!!!

Sorry if your offended by my LOL etc but i did google it etc and found no recent i.e in the last 4 years, links to this cult. Looks like very old news to me.
And am not worried by giving £1.77 to this 'cult' either.
