Reserved - thanks. Does anyone know if the charms will fit a Pandora bracelet - just in case the bracelet is too small for me (some of the review comments say it's not very big but no mention of the actual length)?

This is what annoys me about the 'sale price' at Argos

Additional Information
* Please note item 2240727 has previously been on sale at £49.99.

Current selling price valid until 14/02/2011

Many of the 'sale' items are actually dearer then when they weren't actually in the sale!

So in reality it's £10 off and not £60.

Are they bad or just not the brand leader?

This was advertised on Wave 105 this morning - 4 left in Winchester

If your other half loves Pandora then she will hate this! I know i do!!

I currently have 2 pandora bracelets and would never wear a cheap copy or add cheap charms to it. in my opinion, if you go for pandora stick to pandora!

You can buy a bracelet for about £55 and charms from approx £25, your missus would be much more impressed than buying her this cheap tat!

^ This. It might be alright for a young girl - if you have a niece/daughter etc who bugs you for Pandora but you don't want them wearing such expensive jewellery.

Not everyone can afford Pandora, i have had so many expensive bracelets as presents and daily use means they have all broken or snapped, i have just bought a cheap pandora style bracelet with a few charms and i've been buying charms here and there (Even Hobbycraft) I can pick out charms i like and my OH can buy me a lot more for the same price as 1 Pandora Charm... i'd rather have lots to change and if they look naff well i can just change and buy new ones they were only a couple of quid. Id be gutted if i lost any actual expensive Pandora Charms or broke the bracelet.

It really makes me laugh how women think they are getting quality with Pandora. You are buying the same mass produced tat as this but with a huge marketing budget paid for by you!

Pandora is absolute rubbish, knocked up on machines for pennies in the far east. No different to the crap Argos sell. If you had any taste you would but a handmade clone with hand crafted lampwork beads. At least then you are getting something individual!
#15
yep gotta agree with others my wife started out with this but then moved on to Pandora and side by side there is no comparison, even I agree(and I'm a cheapskate LOL) that Pandora is well worth the extra money.. luckily my young daugher loves this one so nothing wasted.

It's amazing when people believe the hype! :D

I bought this as a present (for £49.99) for Christmas. It looked really nice and the MIL was really impressed with it. However, it was too small for her wrist and had to go back.
#18
I've got tiny wrists so get away with kids sizes... cheaper lol

This is very true!

I have an 11 year old daughter who loves Pandora bracelets and has asked me for one many times! This one is perfect for her as im not gonna spend the stupid price for a 'real' pandora bracelet for a child of her age! It will more than likely get lost!

Quite right! It's the *exact* same cheap stuff run up on the same production lines as this and many other alternatives. I love how Pandora has become a "Brand" in a very short time with nothing other than overpriced sterling and gullible purchasers!

Pandora stuff is just brand snobbery, there's a seller on Amazon who does the exact same things for a fraction of the cost. We bought charm bracelst for both our kids for Christmas and for £30 each they got pretty well populated bracelet.

My guess is the same thing would cost circa £200 from Pandora. Rip off.

You're 100% correct. My sister works in the Returns Dept and always laughs when she sees how many get returned every single day, it's a non stop procession of postie vans!!. The stuff is Far East tat.....but it's true enough " A fool and his money are soon parted ". In next to no time this stuff will be slung in the back of the drawers and forgottenabout...

It makes me laugh how the Pandora shop in the Trafford Centre has a security guard and a velet rope to mange the queue outside. I dare say Pandora is better than the Argos stuff, but it it still all overpriced tat made by Chinese kids paid pennies. Same goes for Claires - necklaces that cost £5 which you would be disappointed with if it fell out of a cracker.

The sooner we all stop buying our little girls this overpriced junk the better. I am often dragged round Claires but we only let our 8 year old buy stuff when it is on clearance.

Costco sometimes stock genuine Pandora stuff, though I can't remember what the prices were off hand.

I have a lovely 925 hallmarked sterling silver charm bracelet (pandora style) from ebay and have collected individual silver and glass beads that I like for less than a fiver each. It is completely personal to me and I can afford to add to it whenever I like. Pandora is just another hyped up brand name, and this bracelet from Argos is still overpriced. When will people learn!!!

One thing to note about real Pandora, bracelet was fine for my mum until she filled it with charms and it stretched by 2CM, Pandora refused to replace it saying it was wear and tear. So not the quality everyone thinks and bad after sales.

Can someone link to the stuff as good as pandora, was going to pick up a proper pandora bracelet (can get them for £30, and yes, official) but if there's just as good for less, could someone link it? I don't plan on getting pandora charms, £20-£30 for one is stupid!!!!!!

Any links to sellers with good quality charms would be nice to, if they cant be posted can someone PM me them?

This is for valentines ... Many Thanks.

I have several of the argos charm bracelets and this is the only one I am disappointed with. I bought it when it was half price but within a week the silver rings had come off both sides of 2 of the glass charms. Then 2 stones fell out of the handbag charm, then a month later the clasp came undone fortunately i felt it drop off my wrist so I didn't lose it. I now do not wear it and have transferred the good charms to my other bracelets.
I have not had any problems with any of my other Argos bracelets however so whether I was just unlucky or this bracelet is not as well made I do not know.

yep this is how they are designed so adding the weight does not add stress and break the chain, your Mum should have been informed of this when she bought the bracelet and been advised to get one size smaller..

I fully agree Pandora are overpriced for what they are, and even more so since the price hike but the thickness of chain and overall finish of the charms when I compare my wifes Pandora against her Argos one are clear to see..
