Very good price, considering it only came out on monday. By no means a classic, but sci-fi horror fans may enjoy it

Hmmm, I suppose, but neither does Event Horizon and I know lots of people LOVE that film, and also the Amazon user reviews are pretty positive. To be honest I haven't seen this yet, but thought £8 was pretty good for a DVD only released on monday...

Sorry, didn't mean to sound overly defensive! Anyone seen this film that can vouch for/condemn it? I shall watch it soon.

I remember seeing Event Horizon at the cinema and really quite enjoyed it. It had a number of flaws, but managed to maintain a really spooky, ominous tone throughout which I liked.

I saw Pandorum at the cinema last year and thought it was awful. It's only redeeming quality was a mildly interesting final twist, but that in no way made up for the preceding 90 minutes of crap.

I would wait and watch it in Sky for free

i liked it but i'm not jonathan ross!

The first half hour was quite suspenseful and stuff, before it just drifted into a tacky sci fi zombie film.

The thing that got me was if those zombies had caught a disease then why did they all wear those costumes and where would they get them?

Alright they weren't actual zombies, but they had been infected by a disease and it would be quite fair to say that they were zombieesque in a generic term.

preferred Event Horizon to this.. pretty predictable tbh.....

wouldnt bother buying it... dl'd ages ago and deleted it after i'd watched it !
#14
i paid about £8 quid to go watch this in the cinema, it was so boring that we ended up having a pop corn chucking match and eventually left before it was even close to ending

immature yes but it was that bad a film. ;-)
#15
Not bad, as stated part Event Horizon maybe with a chunk of The Descent. Worth a quick watch.
#16
i seem to be in a minority of people who liked it, i think its pretty good and you can deffinatly see a homage of sorts to classics like event horizon and even the game deadspace. Great price , thanks !

Actually thought film was very good. Dark, suspenseful, pretty gory with a reasonably unpredictable twist at the end.

Zombies? no
Disease? no

I wouldn't trust a 'review' from anyone who thinks this film contains zombies and disease.

This price isn't bad for a new release so vote hot.
#18
Lol, no zombies :P

I've seen it and it's not bad. It's probably not a film I'd watch twice though.

I really liked this movie too. good price and I will buy it
#21
ditto I enjoyed it too, it was fun to see cung lee get his ass whupped by a kid lol

the ending was a little cliche and predictable.
#22
Excellent movie. Not really surprising that most sheeple dont like it though.
#23
really enjoyed it, good ending as well ;-)
#24
The film was OK - it's often compared to Event Horizon because of the setting more than anything, though it's not as good in any respect.

It's quite confusing (it's not a good sign when you have to google it to find out what was happening!). And it's not that intelligent - it's absolutely full of plotholes.

I'd say think a little Red Dwarf (the Spaceship) crossed with The Descent (just for the creatures) along with a little Sunshine (the mission) but not approaching any of those films/TV shows - a really promising Space/horror premise is a little wasted...
#25
I actually quite liked the film, but then I wasn't expecting much in the first place.
#26
I liked the film too. It's certainly not the worst film ever and I do wonder what film some people on here were watching, especially with some of the 'spoilers' (although you have your facts wrong so not technically spoilers).

I've got a crazy idea, if you don't like it, don't buy it, but if you haven't watched it then check it out for yourself.

Good price.
#27
i enjoyed it, its deadspace crossed with event horizon with a touch of aliens thrown in.

not sure i would buy it tho, one to stick on the love film wanted list, still it represents a genre of film not really represented these days. i love a good space sci- fi movie, however even that it turns out isn't really accurate but i wont go into why..
#28
I thought this was a really good film, with a great ending.
suspended#29
I really enjoyed this film, it made a change from the horror-by-numbers film I was expecting and kept me thinking all the way through, kind of reminded me of Dead Space!! Definitely worth a watch, not sure i'd pay £7.98 for it tho, just rent it!!
#30
i really enjoyed this lol, full of plot holes and just plain daft in places.

don't think it deserves all the negative comments, i file this with films like pathfinder and outlander, guilty pleasure popcorn muncher
#31
the only thing i would say is the movie is too dark most of the time which makes it hard to see things in some scenes
