Another item for the back of the cupboard.

Isnt this just another use for the george foreman?

I use mine daily. Just get one of those!

These are brilliant, we use ours a lot even though we have a toaster and a George great for toasting french stick or large items, has pressure on top so it toasts right through, best toasties you've ever tasted!!

Aldi also have a panini press available at the moment for £16.99 - http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/58_7050.htm

It has flat plates rather than grill style but looks to be more height adjustable for chunky sandwiches!

Great deal! cant complain at 20 quid at all considering George Foreman for similar are almost double.

personally like the grills over the flat ones.

just picked the last one at Lidl.

I bought one of these on Friday. I'd been after one for a while, and saw this.
I was unsure about this knowing Silvercrest is Lidl's own brand.

But I have used it a few times now and must say I am very impressed. The adjustable theremostat, green light indicator, and the wee "scrapey comb" are all great. The fact this has the "grooves" or grill or whatever is even better, the sandwiches look more professional. lol

It is really easy to clean, and there's not much else to say to be honest. It comes with a 3 year warranty which is quite good, and it is quite adjustable in terms of height so you should have no worries there.

I've only made sandwiches in this so far.

But I'd say its well worth it for this price.
