COLD, can get it free for children in chemist. Just need to complete a form to get it free.

you are part of the reason the NHS bill is so high. Bet you go to the doctor for a 15p pack of paracetamol too :(

I have a big problem with paracetamol being had for free on prescription (or as you say via the chemist).

A pack costs from 19p these days in the High St. Calpol equivalents costs less than a £1.

But getting it on prescription costs the NHS hundreds of millions (maybe more?)

Its one of those things that everyone can afford. If you have lots of kids, well you have lots of Child Benefit to cover it.

thank you this is brilliant for me who has had stomach surgery as it's easier to take than pill form. hope in can buy more than 1

You can't usually just walk in and stock up on it though as the patient has to be present and symptomatic. I don't understand why people would be happy to wait until their child is ill, and potentially drag them to a pharmacist, just to save a £1-2 on a cheap bottle of essential medicine that everyone should already have. :|

So irresponsible. Your false sense of entitlement is one of the reasons the NHS is failing. What's wrong with you?
