Price seems good compared to any other places..

I found this film soooooo boring! Can't believe theres such a hype about it lol.. There was only one scary bit in the whole film which was the ending:santa:

It's a film taken deliberately with a camcorder - with no special effects...

Gotta be a candidate for the least necessary blu-ray purchase ever.

Because Blu ray is just about picture quality right?

And camcorders are not 1080p these days are they?

*sigh*

I wish people would research a little before voting cold...

No, the movie doesn't justify a Blu-Ray just for the picture quality. However, if you read DVDActive - http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/paranormal-activity.html - you'll find that it's being released as a SINGLE disc DVD and a DOUBLE disc Blu-Ray. No word on what the extra features will be, but the Blu-Ray will clearly be a much better package.

Just a shame the film ranks as one of the worst I've ever seen (pure hype).

Errr why not? Does Hollywood not have 1080p camcorders yet?

One of the best horror movies I've seen all year, IMHO, and I saw 24 of them in a row at Frightfest earlier this year. But then, I saw it without listening to the hype.

Guess what? Your opinion isn't everybody's.... Why bother clicking on to the link and typing a comment if you're just going to trash a movie you have no intention of buying? I'm sure we're meant to be discussing bargains here not IMDB style "your movie suck!" comments.

Yes, blu-ray is mainly about picture quality.... 5.1 surround has been around for ages and extras on discs are a gimmicks (and often not in 1080p)... interactivy and internet connections - dont get me started on them, either.

Whats blu-ray all about for you? I'm interested to know...

Wow, is this "let's state personal opinions as though they're facts" day or something? Extras are the only reason I bother to buy discs rather than just renting or recording the movies from TV...

It's pretty obvious it's my opinion... do you want me to prefix everything with "I think" and "it's my opinion that"...

Have to agree - not going to cut it at BR

Yep I agree with some, I didn't see what the fuss was about!!! The adverts made me laugh with that voice over guy, something like: the scariest movie in American history, and it will make your heart stop! Yeah may have made it stop from boredom! lol

And 'aphexbr' what's your problem? This is an open forum where primarily we discuss the deal in hand but people are entitled to their own opinion regardless if you think it's right or not, get over yourself man.

Not sure the price is too hot, I reckon once released we will see this sub £10 on here. Not voted btw.

I think you need to go back to bed and get out the other side :whistling:

Suppose you're mr perfect and have never commented on a deal you disagree with :p

Its my opinion and I'm entitled to post it. Somehow it seems only your opinion is valid lol

The deal's been voted extremely cold, I think that says it all.

Worst film ever, regardless of genre. Save your money and go to the dentist instead, far more entertaining!!!!

Equally picture and sound quality for me. Lossless HD audio.

Anyway, I find it amazing that people basically think that a 100 foot cinema screen could basically show a DVD and get away with it. How bad would that look if the best picture quality this film could ever show was only DVD quality. On a huge cinema screen it would look pants.

There's more than enough resolution in these type of films to justify a 1080p transfer. Plus add a lossless Audio stream to it to and why would you ever buy a DVD again?

Saying that though, I watch my films on a 100" screen, with a DTS HD MA capable amp at home so those of you with your 32" tecknika sets from Asda will no doubt not notice any difference at all.

For you, maybe - go and ask 100 people what BR is all about, I doubt you'll get many mention lossless HD audio... I doubt many will even mention more extras too...

As for 1080p on this kind of film - I didn't say it wouldn't be better, I said it was a candidate for the worst type of film for 1080p - the grainyness would perhaps be part of it's charm.

I'm quite happy watching DVD quality on my 100" screen, I can notice the difference between hd and DVD, but I'll quite happily watch DVD's on it.

I thought this film was ok - but for me a BR version of it is a waste of money.
