What is the price.

If £3-04 a good deal. If £7.04 its been this a long long time
#2
Rubbish delivery company, tend to ring bell and run!
#3
Might use it next time, just had a package lost by royal mail....too much effort photocoping, waiting at PO for 25mins, then having to wait for Royal Mail to respond.

Think the OP is refering to the fact you can get £4 cashback via quidco on opening a new account.
Delivery cost = £7.04 (minus the £4 cashback) = £3.04 in effect

http://www.quidco.com/parcel2go/

Goog deal if you plan to send something anyway and are a new customer,
saves queuing at the PO, & home pickup for £3.04 effectively, seems a good deal.

price is £7.04 dunno whether it has been cheapest at parcel2go for a long time though because they are advertising a price drop on the homepage of the website

£50 loss included ... Is the thing others mentioned ages ago which put me off for starters. You can by the looks of it pay for upto £500 of cover at extra cost.
#8
I'm confused , why would the £50 being included put you off ?

Parcel force do when game send me my xbox 360's :lol, granted pf 2 day delivery only includes £50

Special Delivery™ Next Day £500 as standard only upto 10kg though

But yeah you are right

That's a different service , one from a company , doubt many home collection couriers would cover £500 by default , a lot of them would want more money

Parcel force charge over the odds for delivery, what the op was saying to you is that there are no companies that will offer you £50 insurance as default and if you want to insure your item for £500 then you will have to pay extra it really is not that hard to understand

great find btw Heat and rep added

This is a Quidco deal which isn't guaranteed

The Price should be £7.04 and you should include the cashback in brackets
#15
I have put the price as £7.04

Be warned take a look on Google,I wouldn't use this shower if it was Free for life.

Before booking anything check out the exclusions list for items that they won't insure (if you can find it!). It's rather long.

I always use www.interparcel.com 's "own brand" Economy Service which is actually UPS.

Edit
To save you looking for the prohibited & no compensation items, it's here.

great deal:thumbsup:

They lost a parcel I sent overseas and never managed to find out what happened to it. Won't ever use them again. Cold for me.
#20
I am not happy with their service.

Last summer, I sent a parcel to abroad by DHL through Parcel2go's service. It was lost on the way. Their standard insurance only covers 50 pounds which resulted in 300 pounds loss. The claim procedure took around 2 months as well.

Last week, I used HDNL to send another item within the UK. It was damaged on the way. They refused to compensate because they blame me not using appropriate package.

I have changed to use another service because of these bad experience. So I vote cold.
#21
I'm not going to vote either way, simply because this is the price they always charge. So it's far from hot.

However, I've used them many times for sending parcles domestically, and always found them to be good. But around Christmas just gone, our carefully packaged parcel looked like people had been playing football with it. It was a fairly large box, but that didn't given ANYONE a reason to STAND on it. Yes... footprints all over the top of the packaging. Would prefer to use another company but not many are this cheap. It's such a shame that the delivery guys are inept at reading FRAGILE on a box.
#22
This place is cheaper but they only allow up to 10KG's: http://www.collectplus.co.uk/send/ (they also use HDLN).

To be fair, why did you send a £350 item with £50 insurance? Your asking for trouble, don't ya think?

i'll give you the HONEST answer to this cos my dad is a manager at DHL.......

Most the workers will not be able to undertand what 'Fragile' means...... If you write it in big letters in Polish then it stands a better chance of being taken care of.........and im NOT joking !!

Just for reference the word you need is..... 'KRUCHY'

I tend to get a big marker and put the word Fragile in a few languages...English , Polish , Romanian etc etc

Not really true.

If you go direct to DHL and pay £15, your parcel will get exactly the same treatment....same driver, same vehicle, same comany....as when you use DHL through Parcel2go.

Ive used P2G about 50 times and NEVER had any issues whatsoever

It's 'fact' I'm afraid.

Fact to you maybe. Its people like you are that are turning this forum into a farce

If I have had a problem with them why cant you accept that I have had a problem???? Just because something works for you doesnt mean it works for everyone else. The different depots around the country some have good people in them, others dont
#32
HDNL are quite terrible but it does depend on where you live too, however i find this website more of a delivery company price comparison site and very useful, you can select DHL or PARCELFORCE if your not happy with HDNL. Thanks to the original poster.

???? - its black and white, theres no debate in it..... If you book DHL directly and pay £15 you will get EXACTLTY the same service, driver , van etc etc as you would if you paid for the DHL Service through Parcel2Go at £7...there is no difference, there is no 'opinion'...its a 'fact'

You cant say DHL are ok but Parcel2Go are rubbish because in all intense and purposes they are the same company (if you choice the DHL option when you get the Parcel2go quote
#34
I'm not sure why people are saying it's always been this price , they are advertising a recent price drop on the front page from £6.99 to £5.99 hence why I posted it , is this not the cheapest it has ever been ?

There you go again! Where did I ever mention DHL in anything I have indicated. Have I said DHL are Good and this company bad....no.

Anyway while we are on that subject my company refuses to use DHL now because of all the parcels that are lost by them..maybe its a problem in the Coventry area but yes we have had many parcels go missing. They seem to arrive at the Depot, then as if by magic vanish!

??? How can you say Parcel2Go are a bad company? - its not Parcel2Go that deliver your parcel - its the courier, so you need to find out which courier you used via parcel2go and then say DHL/UP/HDNL (delete as appropriate) are a bad company....its not Parcel2go, they are in effect just a broker.

They are bad news to deal with when things go wrong and you won't be able to talk directly to the carriers. Interparcel at far better than these lot do customer service.
