I've voted it cold because I'm to flipping lazy to get of my fat rse and get off my computer for 30 mins and go and have a look for myself I think it's disgusting that you expect me to stop looking at my pc screen for 1 minute! as for your remark about stupidity I completely agree, BTW.....does anyone know how many I would need of these to heat my garden as it hasnt got a roof on?

Hmmm....I think folks make a direct correlation ie....

patio heaters = in garden = hmm garden has no roof = therefore they must end up heating the sky = BAD.

I agree they're bad, but just as a matter of interest, where do folks think the heat from their house goes then?

Voted cold. These things are cataclysmic for the planet. WTF we would be promoting them I do not know? Tesco promoting them is staggeringly irresponsible IMO.

Voted Hot because anything that contributes to global warming and the desertification of this god forsaken country and the dead heads that live in it as got to be a bonus. And.... at least one of the idiots making stupid comments in this post might just go out and buy one and do themselves some damage with it.

You know where it says: Hot, do not touch, they'd touch it.

I am entitled to take a position on an item without being called names. If I choose to vote cold for ethical reasons, then I damn well will thank you very much. It's entirely my choice.

Well seen as how there is no proof that we are causing global warming I dont see why people are getting upset!

Well lets think back we only had open fires last time round and we ended the ice age!

That must have been one hell of a bbq!

And the time before, them pesky reptiles must of all been flying about in private jets!

So not too sure myself, think I'll go ask god!:giggle:

Look its all wrong you never win!

If you buy it and use it that, seems bad.

If you dont buy it and nobody does they will have been made and then recycled, shipped to and from china for nothing, seems bad.

Or worst of all buy it and not use it then TESCO wins and we cant have that!

I don't use much electric, because I caefully cut and paste all my text from old emails, rather than just delete them and type new words. We have become a throw away society. If eveyone took the trouble to do this it would reduce the UK's carbon footprint by 11.37 Metric Tonnes each year.

From funny to serious... Last year I remember seeing England World cup football flags being given away. A friend saw thousands on a land fill site. I will just be happy knowing that Tesco's are stuck with a load of patio heaters that they have a hard job disposing of. We are the customers, so we should stop buying the damn things. By the way it doesn't just stop at £20, then there's the propane gas...

Tell me how much you have reduced your carbon footprint by so that I can add this on to my carbon output and then double it.

I'm off out side to crank up the gas on the patio heater and maybe fire up the BBQ whilst I'm there.

If you send me a tenner, I will offset your carbon footprint by not cutting down the tree in my garden :giggle:.

went to scrap yard got a oil drum & just burn everything the wife
puts out for recycling & most of our rubbish!
warm as toast & not filling ladfill sites :)

That's bad also. Think of all that CO2 you'll produce when your house burns to the ground :-D
I don't see any advantage in using these at all. It's just a costly way for Joe Bloggs to kill the planet but enjoy his BBQ whilst he's doing it.
The Woolies electric one is the only one i've seen that I can excuse, as it can safely be used indoors. Even then, fan heaters are a downright expensive way to keep the house warm.
I don't have a problem with sensible, even trivial, debate on this subject. I just don't like to be called an idiot for having an honest opposing view. That's all.
