These are cheaper and also worth a look one being 7200 and another a very solid 6400. 'BONUS5' is working INLC. DELIVERY in Google checkout.

I have a Dell Dimension 9100 running a Pentium D (P4 3.4ghz Dual Core) CPU, Geforce 7600GT 256MB PCI-e graphics card and 2GB DDR2 (5300) Would buying this memory really help my PC at all? As my CPU has a FSB of 800mhz and my memory is running @ 667mhz.

The memory I have is split into 4 DIMMS of 512MB. Would the 2x1GB help, as the memory isn't spilt into four different modules?

Oh, and I can't run my memory in "dual-channel" mode either. Sorry, I forgot to mention that

Thanks people :)

You bought a Dell. Crippled from the factory, not much in the way of upgrading for you! Why can't you run in dual channel? If having only 2 modules means you can run dual channel then it’s worth it! Dells are not made to be upgraded, tweaked etc.

Well I have managed to upgrade my Dell quite a lot. GF 6800GT to 7600GT. P4 3.4ghz to Pentium D (Dual Core) 1gb DDR2 400mhz to 2GB DDR2 667mhz. I understand that it's not an "overclockers dream" but all I wanted to know if I brought this memory, would my PC become a "zero wait" machine? As the FSB of my ram is 667mhz, but the CPU has a FSB of 800mhz at the moment, so I wanted to know if two FSBs of 800mhz would speed up my PC. Thanks ;)

If your processor is running 800mhz FSB i doupt the memory is running 667mhz. It'll be 400mhz, or close to.

Also, why cant you run in DDR? If not, then your memory is running at 200mhz...

Either the memory will be running at 166/333/667 or running some sort of divider to enable 200fsb if that is the case in your pc.
I would go for this deal, as it free's up 2 ram slots and also runs 200fsb(800) natively:thumbsup:
