Patriot LX 32GB Class 10 Full size SD card - ebuyer £12.99

clemfclemf

Seems a very good price for a class 10 32gb card. Free delivery by royal mail on this card. Except if you live in outlying areas where it is £8 for delivery, even though the royal mail charge the same price over the whole UK. Work that out if you can.

Great price, but reviews on Amazon.com give mixed reviews with users stating files become corrupted over time:

    http://www.amazon.com/Patriot-Series-Class-Memory-PSF32GSDHC10/dp/B002TABU5I/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Might be better to spend a little extra for peace of mind...

even a 5 year warranty cannot replace corrupted content - be wary. I had a cheapo 32gb card (not this one I know) lost a load of NZ holiday pics. First time I have ever had a corrupted card. BAH

Those reviews are from 2010, so cant see it happening in 2012. It could just have been a faulty batch.

    Have ordered one anyways.

I could do with the extra space.. Currently using a Trascend 16GB that's been going strong for over a year now. Not sure if I want to risk it though. Guess I'll give it a miss.

I would advise anyone who buys a memory card, especially if using it to use in a camera, to use a tool such as h2testw to test the card before you take it out. If it has corrupted blocks this will discover them, and you can send it back. If it is fine, then it will probably work for years. A lot of those reviews are from 2 years ago. From a budget brand I doubt the memory cards would even be from the same manufacturer or batch as those sold 2 years ago.

Problem with Amazon is a lot of the time people purchase from marketplace sellers without realising and there's no guarantee of authenticity with them.

Patriot aren't exactly a budget brand, nor are they new to the Memory game... it's just they're a bit bigger Stateside than here.

I've just paid £12 for a 16GB Sandisk (albeit the Extreme), so this is Hot from me!

I wish this was a micro-SD, I would have bought it for my phone.

Yup Patriot is pretty big in the USA, their RAM is pretty good. If it was Amazon I'd risk it, but although eBuyer are pretty good, it's not worth the hassle and I'd rather spend a little more and go with something that hasn't had a history of bad reviews.

Stuck at work here-I have a advent vega tablet which I hardly use but off the top of my head it takes up to 32gb cards but I think it takes only micro cards so i think this card is not suitable can anyone confirm because would have bought this.

No, this won't fit in a vega, you need a micro sd card only.

We won't know if ebuyer or Patriot are selling left over from that faulty batch this time round..oO

Review written back in 2009: http://www.overclockersonline.net/50003341/ for anyone want to know how it performed under test. Benchmark test figured out 20MB/s average read speed and 16.4 MB/s average write speed. Is it good?

Processor & bus speed have improved drastically, so should fare better in modern devices. HOT for me!!

Doesn't a full format do the same thing?
