All I'm saying is this drive is faster than most & works out damn near the £1 per GB rate most other (far slower) USB flash drives are going for just now.

Next cheapest seller is Amazon for £10.85

People looking for a 16GB stick of fast USB memory could do worse than to look at targaids post on sunday for a Corsair Voyager for £17.70 here:

I have one of these and it's great.

They've also got Cruzer micro 8gbs which are also very fast.

If I was going to market a USB drive on the fact that it was really fast, I'd probably put the actual speeds somewhere prominent so that people knew there was some substance behind the spiel.

30MB/sec read and 10MB/sec seems to be what this gets.

I recently purchased this for 50% more than this price! Quality drive and extremely fast (fastest usb 2.0 on the market I think).

How is this hot when A-DATA's USB 3.0 8GB drive is only a pound more, but offers MUCH improved speed?

I know not everyone has USB 3.0 yet, but it is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and the speed is also very good even under USB 2.0.

USB3 Flash Drives are a gimmick. And there is a delivery cost with Saverstore.

USB 3.0 flash drives are not a gimmick, as many of them (not all) offer 50 to 60 MB/s read speed, which is a lot better than USB 2.0 flash drives.

And you are right that there is a delivery cost, but it is only £0.99.

Currently use a Play 4gb drive for readyboost (win7).

Would I benefit much from swapping it for the Xporter?

I have one, its quite big for a flash drive and definitely more fragile than most I have had. Very fast though

exactly, 10mb/s write isn't that fast anyway.
seems the results varied from 5-17write so cant even make a proper judgement from the link.
