Paul McCartney tickets - about this event

The UK is set for a scorching hot summer of rock n' roll as Paul McCartney today announces four special massive UK shows as part of his 2010 'Up and Coming' tour. Hot off the heels of announcing the opening US tour dates, Paul's announcement confirms the speculation that he's bringing his all new tour home. This summer Paul will rock the UK with four massive outdoor shows that mark some career firsts for music's most valuable treasure.

The UK got a recent taste for Paul’s live show last Christmas when he brought his 2009 ‘Good Evening Europe’ tour to a climactic and memorable finale at London’s O2 Arena, his only UK show of 2009. Reviews for the show were phenomenal and prove that Paul McCartney is a live experience that no-one should miss. "The man is living history and the way he continues to bring new energy to his past is incredible,’ reported the UK’s largest Sunday paper, News Of The World. The Telegraph exclaimed, “Paul McCartney used his only UK concert of 2009 as a showcase for an epic display of back-to-back basics music-making. Armed only with his four-piece band and the greatest collection of hits in pop history, he travelled back and forth across the decades like the Dr Who of rock and roll. Whatever elixir the 67-year-old Macca is running on remains a mystery, but he seems to get a huge charge from performing to an audience, especially one that is bombarding him with waves of adoration."

lastminute.com are delighted to announce a special offer for Father's Day, so that Dad can bring the family to see Paul McCartney perform a lifetime of music spanning the generations at a special rate of £25 per person.

At the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday June 26 - the roof will be closed so that everyone is safe from the weather.

..and with 5% off via quidco. Got 2 tickets. they're up in the heavens but for that price it'll be the last chance to hear The Beatles done properly....unfortunatley it's the repetitive Manic Street Preachers as support, just hope i don't throw myself from the highest point while they're on.

is he still alive?:?
#12
£25 with £30 off

They pay you £5 to go?
#13

Repetitive!!!

I was thinking the same thing.

I'm tempted to go and watch the Manics then go on the lash in Cardiff while McCartney sings his nursery rhymes. I might stay for "Maybe I'm Amazed" if he plays it early enough!

I'd pay the £25 just to see the Manics and then walk out!

That's one of the best deals i've seen on HUKD when you consider how muc tickets are selling for on eBay! Shame my dad is on holiday or I would have got these for him.
#19
Absolutely stonking deal! Manics are worth £25 alone!

Many, many thanks.

I can't stand the man, I would not even look twice if he was playing live in my fridge and I was taking out the milk.

I work for millenium stadium, and there is way less attendance than expected, it appears that there are a lot of tickets at £25
#23
This is the second time i`ve seen him play in Glasgow. The guy is a professional through and through with a great repetoire of tunes.
Manic Street whit?
Seen better buskers in Buchanan
Street...lol

Go see him before they embalm him. The man`s a legend. You can tell your grandchildren.
#24
but why would you your grandchildren to laugh at you? It's all about personal opinion. MSP are amazing in my eyes.

Question for pdhroche

As you work there can I ask you ....
We have three tickets (a 2 and a 1) which are about 10 seats from each other. How strict are the stewards ? Would I be able to shuffle about and join my friends or do they make you stay in your seats ?

Many thanks
#26
mcartney really needs to call it a day...he is your embarrassing uncle, shaking his head side to side, croaking out hey jude every 5 minutes at every bloody tv awards show going
#27
This Paul McCartney bloke sounds like he copied a lot from Dirk McQuickly, who certainly is a legend. A living legend. A legend that will go on living after lots of other living legends have died.

Hot deal.
#28
Screw it, I just got myself a pair. cheers guys!
#29
Any thoughts on what the seats will be like please? Too far back to see anything, or will there be screens etc? Thanks.

Wow I've never seen more ignorant and idiotic people in all my years on the interblag.

Seeing McCartney as anything less than an absolute legend is just insultig the very genre of rock music itself. Can't believe how many people there are that can't appreciate that.

+1
his band are easily the best he has assembled on any tour. Hampden Park tickets are now unavailable :x
#32
he ceased to be interesting after the challenge of the lennon songwriting partnership ended...since then his passion for bizarre novelty and schmaltz has relegated his output to truly banal...he gets wheeled out to the opening of an envelope and trots out the same cringeworthy singalong at each, oblivious to the fact he can't now sing in tune...he has no handlers who will tell him to stop, so he carries on regardless
#33
I saw him on Sunday at the Isle Of Wight festival and he is a great entertainer, He is not my bag but he does put on a great show and there aint many Beatles left so it is the legend factor as well as the performance quality, .

What an ignorant and idiotic comment, musical taste is a very individualy thing, I for one can't stand the bloke, however respect people's views that do. I'd much rather see the Manics.
