I think you will find that when you go and pick up your phone the total price will be £99.99 as you have to buy £10 top up regardless of the £10 free airtime offer, well thats what they told me instore anyway and thats why i never purchased it..
#3
airtime must be purchased just got one pop the sim in wait 20mins and £10 free credited then you have your scratch voucher to you too unless you flashed like me with froyo r10 2.2 android then install adobe flash player cracking little phone now fully unlocked satnav works really well .

It does say "Free £10 airtime credit", so they can't force you to ....

They don't force you to, they just don't sell you the phone if you don't. The "free" £10 is in addition to the obligatory £10 top up, not instead.

Weird because i bought one last Friday and paid £89.99 which included the top up. Unless it was on special offer that day.

I sold my Desire HD as i am waiting to buy the Tab 10.1 so bought this as its so cheap. I am really surprised how good the handset actually is. The battery lasted 2.5 days. Totally shocked as i had to charge up the HD every night :)

I bought one of these phones a couple of weeks ago.

It is £89.99 for the phone which comes with a "free £10 airtime credit", you also have to buy a £10 top up. So it costs £99.99 in total, unless the promotion confuses the staff and they don't charge you for the top up.

A couple of days after activation I received a text from Orange about my free £10 credit. If you listen to the credit information on 453 you'll see you have £10 credit (your top up), and if you then listen to the information about your extras it lists your "£10 joining credit" (the free credit). Leaving you with a total of £20 for calls and texts.

How did you get Flash player on yours ?
I understand you need faster than 600Mhz processor, so won't install when I try it (on 2.2 by the way).

you sold your HTC for a SF ?

Would be interested to know this as well as I cant get Flash Player either - running Japanese Jellyfish.

You definately have to pay £99.99 to get the phone including the mandatory £10 Argos Voucher. Once your phone is activated you then receive text about 24hrs later stating you have an additional £10 - if you choose Dolphin as your plan, because you have added the £10 Argos Voucher you purchased, you will get 300 free texts and 250MB free internet usage - however, quite sneakily, the free £10 top up and the texts and internet usage must be used within the first calendar month.

the flash player dont work on the SF but its ok on other phones that have Froyo 2.2

....unless you flashed like me with froyo r10 2.2 android then install adobe flash player....
That simply CANNOT happen at this point in time as Adobe haven't written a Flash Player that will run on the SF processor. So unless your mam, dad, uncle, cousin etc etc works at Adobe and they have written script especially for you then NO you most certainly did NOT install Flash on a SF.

That's pants... i'm sure it can be argued as it's not mentioned on the websi.....oh never mind, it is mentioned.... change the topic, it's deceiving!... wish I read it properly now, cold!

You have to buy £10 top up, then you can got £10+£10 credit. So 89.99+10=£99.99.
#19
the other option is to buy from Orange stores

I have reserved one there this morning

£79.99 plus £20 top up

discount for working in public services £20

£79.99 in total to pay

I did too, sold the HTC for £300 and paid £80 for a SF (with 7.50 quidco as well), so have over £200 extra to put towards my change of car.
#22
Can you sell or use the £10 top-up scratch voucher in another phone if you don't want it?

Thanks

Cheers for the link, but having installed it, I now find the browser keeps closing. Done a quick search on the net, and it seems like many people had the same problem:

I don't have time now, but will take another look later.

I presume the "collect" machines auto add the £10 top up and it's a case of you might be lucky if you hand the reservation number to a staff member?

Is this deal cold simply due to the £10 top up issue?

If you use the automatic payment machine, it tells you to see a member of staff to complete the purchase. Once they enter the phone code into the computer it tells them the £10 topup must be added to the purchase, so can't get out of it (unless there's some glitch at the time)

And yes, I assume it's cold as you have to pay the extra £10, and this phone was posted for £79 (plus £10 topup) a few weeks ago.
