Labs goodybag

great deal for the light user who like to go online :)

For £5 a month, you can have 300 UK texts and 60 UK minutes (to standard UK mobiles and landlines).

In addition, for every full minute of inbound calls received you will receive a credit of one minute to use to call any UK mobile or landline number (the "free minutes").

The free minutes will be credited to you after your inbound call has completed. Maximum free minute credit per call is limited to 60 minutes.

UNLIMITED INTERNET now extended until 30th JUNE (100MB a day)

Thanks to asandino for previous post that was unlimited internet until 31st MAY

Will they extend the free internet yet again after end June??????

Great but prefer the £10 goodybag.
#3
Does this mean the offer expires on 30th June or the mobile internet expires on 30th June? Or Both?

It's not difficult to check on their website, in particular
http://giffgaff.com/goodybags/hokey-cokey-extra-minutes-free-for-each-call
where you will see the Goodybag offer is available until the end of the month.
The free internet is until the end of the month (is nothing to do with the Goodybag).

"Unlimited Internet until 30th June" should not be quoted in the title as it is nothing to do with the Goodybag.

No you'll need to port your number in first: http://www.portnumber.co.uk/transfer/mobile/to-giffgaff

hot from me.

So if 2 people had a contract each then they would basically have free calls to each other?
#19
Set my son up a couple of months ago on the £10 goody bag and last month set myself up on a PAYG basis as I don't make many calls.

We phone each other for free which is great, sign up through someone's referral link as well, as you both get free £5 of credit.

It was really easy to take our numbers from Asda as well, the giff gaff site is quite easy.

No it's just giifgaff to giffgaff that are free with a minimum top up of £10 every 2 or 3 months.

You do get free phone numbers free which most networks charge for which is another plus especially for people with out a landline.
#21
This has been around forever and I think its wrong to promote if just to get referrals clicks.
#22
How much does it cost to phone giggaff from landlines or other networks - is it comparable to other networks?
#23
I almost agreed when i first spotted it BUT this IS a limited offer of the free data until end of june!

normally you need £10 goodybag to get unlimited data! at the moment the £5 goodybag gets you free unlimited data.

so it is a current offer.

there should be somewhere for referalls on the site! as its basically a great deal that gets both parties £5 and this IS supposed to be a money saving site!
#24
corskey if your phoning from a landline or other network then the costs will be the same as if you were phoning any mobile network(it basically acts as an o2 sim in everything apart from who you pay an how much cheaper it is ;) )
#25
Unlimited data end date has been pushed back from March, to April, now end of June. Wouldn't be too sure it didn't get pushed back again!
#26
Good enough for me, i need a sim for my iphone i dont use
#27
I have never heard of this company but happy to give it a try. My DD currently has the £5 O2 friends bolt on but I was wondering whether this would be better for her but which package? She does do a lot of texting rather than phoning. Also is it a monthly payment and would they automatically deduct the payment due? Thanks!

Could someone explain the offers in simple terms :) would the free internet be permanent etc etc

so with gifgaff, each month can i change which goodybag i have ?
#29
not quite right tgaiman, yes that will end but at the moment the £5 goodybag also benefits from the free internet! that will also end at end of june.

the easiest way then to get full unlimited data will be the £10 goodybag.

Tinker 15 - the goodybag purchase can not be automated yet(you can buy two each time though, one then queues to come in after the first expires.) basically for her use she would probably want the £10 goodybag.

cgvince- you can choose a diff one every month or not even have one and just use it like a standard pay and go with credit on it.

There are a lot of great things about GiffGaff, but I've tried them for a couple of weeks now and will move back to Three as their 3G network is so much faster.
#31
Does anyone know if it's free to call other giffgaff users on this goodybag? I have the £10 a month and it is free.
#32
Cold from me I'm afraid.

My son has 100/unlimited texts for £5 - 30 day rolling. Good for unlimited internet I suppose - if you need/want it, but I really don't understand the fandom of GiffGaff.

Is the £10 a 30 day contract though as I don't want to increase what I am currently paying for her.

Is this £10 per 30 days as I do not want to increase the amount that I spend.

Yes, as long as you each top-up every 3 months. When you top-up, calls to other giffgaff users are then free for the next three months. That applies even if you choose not to buy a goodybag.
#35
Went to deal but could only find an offer for unlimited text for £5 no mention of 60 mins calls ? Did i miss something as 60 min calls would cost a further £4.80 ?
#36
Woops silly me found it now . hot from me

Tinker 15 yes £10 for 30 days of use.

Quids, well the main reason is its the cheapest unlimited data offer available. the other is their £5 labs. lots of people have smartphones so it makes it pretty necesary for those users. Why would you vote cold because a DIFFERENT product with NO data is cheaper????

2wabbit2 - there are 2 £5 goodybags you looked at wrong one the correct one is the £5 labs bag which says

Members must have an active Hokey Cokey Labs goodybag to qualify and use free minutes. Free minutes do not roll-over into the next goodybag or survive the expiration of the Hokey Cokey goodybag.

No, I was 100% correct - unlimited data on the £10 and above goodybags has no end date. 100mb of free data a day for users without a goodybag (or with the £5 goodybags) is coming to an end at the end of this month (if it doesn't get extended, once again).
#39
The only problem is that after 1 month you have to choose and pay for a new goodie bag - even if you have minutes and texts still available

Thanks, I did check the website but still wasn't clear, hence the post - no need to be rude about it.
