# Available to O2 Online Pay & Go customers.
# Eligible customers may change tariffs every 30 days. Existing customers may switch to the Favourite Place free monthly allowance but please note customers who are currently on the Online Original or Online Talkalotmore tariffs will be moved to the Online Talkalot tariff if they opt in to Favourite Place. You will not be able to switch back to Online Original or Online Talkalotmore if you do this.
# To switch to Favourite Place, send a text message with your nominated postcode to 22204 free. E.g. SL14DX. You will receive a text message within 48 hours to confirm that your registration has been accepted and that Favourite Place is now active.
# Your confirmation text will include reference to your "anniversary date". Your anniversary date is the date each month by which you must have topped up with at least £10 in order to receive your next monthly Favourite Place call allowance. If you do not top-up by this minimum amount you will not receive your Favourite Place allowance until you next top up. This then resets your anniversary date. You will receive a text confirmation.

When i tried this favourite place promotion it over took my free texts. So i was stuck with 500favourite place mins for 1 whole month with no free texts. :x

I called them up and they confirmed that it was one or the other. So I swapped back to the free 300 texts

A WARNING!!

If your on one of the original Genie/Online O2 deals, then if you opt for this it will change your tarrif and you wont be able to change back!
I have the 300 free Texts & 150 off peak any network Free Mins a month for topping up 15 (which you cant get anymore as its one or the other now not both) and changed to this deal when O2 first brought it out last year, luckily they never made it clear that it was a tarrif change at the time and changed it back without a problem.

But if you change now say goodbye to all those freebies as you will only be able to change back to one of the newer deals.

Does anyone know if this works with simplicity?

Sorry really silly question how can you tell the boundary of your own postcode, I take it this may work by which cell tower you calls go through, If that’s correct is there away to tell when you change cell towers:?

No..

This deals been out for ages now I have had it for over a year...

Sometimes my calls are free even when I go out of my area as I am still inbetween my cell masts..

yes because when you use your telephone, with you text message and/or you phone call do informations are sent to your data tower: you area (which would be your postcode in that case) and you phone number.

Have you ever heard that police found people by locating their mobile phones?

Sorry I have no idea what you are taking about, I know the police can triangulate a persons position by there mobile phone. How does this help me know if and when I have moved out of my area? Thanks
