PAYG mobiles from £14.95 including £10 airtime @ CPW

Lots of mobiles on PAYG from £4.95 + £10 airtime. Not goin to go into detail. I hate the CPW and joint companies and i'd hate to give them money, so in essence I really don't care if there's any negativity towards this. I just hope it helps someone out. Thank you, and good night!

Yes of course, PAYG upgrade, tell the salesperson your existing PAYG number and you don't need to buy any credit.

No

They did with me when i bought an O2 phone and said I had an O2 sim already. I used my sisters O2 number and didn't pay the £10 top up. I think you need to just ask.

I'm guessing you've had problems with E2save or onestop?

Perhaps just to get the phone, if you're on contract and not able to get an upgrade? Just a thought.

Only 1 mobile is £14.95 including the £10 top up and that's the LG GB102. The SE K330 in the picture is £24.95 including the £10 top up.
#11
Actually, the phone in the picture is the C902 and thats on at £94.95 + £10 top up.
This phone is in the Argos clearance sale on ebay for a better deal at only £84.99 +£3.99 p&p

Let;s hope your sister doesn't want to upgrade in the next 6 months!

Looks like the same deal is available here, (LG phone £15 inc topup): http://www.obil.co.uk/orange-payg-phone/LG+GB102/4/GB102?tariffcode=EOJT

How is that CPW's fault? They don't make them you know!

"I hate the CPW and joint companies".

Yeah, they're the worst except for all the others! I've found them OK actually - Phones4U are the real thieves: wanted mega money to fix my phone still under warranty, then held it to ransom (wanted £18 just to return it); went direct to Motorola and they even paid my postage to send it for free repair.

A cheapie phone incl. £10 credit for £9.95 will do me nicely (assuming Quidco comes off).

I had a contract with E2 save where i had to send my bills back ad you do at specific times the first bill i sent i got 50 pound cash back but the 2nd one i sent i got a letter back saying i had defaulted bu not sending bill in on time which was utter garbage what made it worse was that i recieved a letter from them saying because of this i wouldnt be able toclaim anymore cashback plus the letter had no contact number or address to query this LESSON TO BE LEARNED AVOID e2save have got a similar deal with mobiles.co.uk and am awaiting confirmation of recorded delivery has anyone had experience with this lot and am i going to get stung again:x

CPW and their subsidiary companies are a joke.

I have a SE W800i which is getting close to death (it really does not like taking a charge now as I have to wiggle the charger cable all over the place to find the charging sweetspot) so I'd like a spare just-in-case cheap phone I could pop my Virgin sim into.

Would I be able to do it with this phone/do you bright sparks have any other suggestions?

TIA
#21
Had no problems with CPW and other compaines related, e2save, talktalk and such! Would not shop or trust any other company to be honest!
#22

Would advise to stay away from that phone. Worst phone I ever used - riddled with bugs - so bad that o2 discontinued it for contracts and upgrades

Thanks for this info, I was looking at e2save for a phone for my son but won't bother now... it's such a nightmare not being able to trust companies isn't it? usually have to suffer first (as I have with ebuyer ) so it's great getting opinions like yours... thanks.

Sorry, that is not true. I've had one for a year and I like it so much, I'm considering another when my contract is up. The earliest firmware had a couple of minor issues apparently, but SE make it so easy to update, its not a problem.

O2 are still selling it, so I don't know where you got that mis-information from, check their website.

Your post is a joke - helps no one. Either explain by giving useful information or shut up.

Lol, idiots, p4u will repair your phone for free as long as the fault is covered under warranty and the phone is still covered under warranty and if it ain't covered under warranty they'll contact the customer and ask if they want to pay for it to be repaired or they send the phone back.

I love reading some of these stories, amount of rubbish people will come out with to make a company they don't like look bad.

The reason for them to do the cash back is they rely on the money they can save if you miss the deadline for your bill even it is not your fault. They will try their best to make you miss it.
That is the only reaon why they do the cashback that way.

Didn't say it was their fault, did I? I should have added in there (just for you) that the customer service they provide is bad. Sorry for confusing the matter. It's just talktalk, e2save and CPW which I despise, that's all. Have a good day

You got a wee problem with something today? Don't take it out on folks on here man.... Can you give good reason why folks should like CPW,E2save or talktalk? I, and others would love to hear it. I'm a customer of all 3 through contract, so I know all about them. Please do tell!!

Thanks Debs ;-)has anyone ever tried this auto cashback these firms off ,,it seems you only get half the cashback you would get frm sending all the bills in but if they default on your bills sent in like they did with me at least you have cashback at the forefront .............any feedback on people experience on auto cashback would be of great help thx again all the best:p

I'm currently on a cashback deal with Mobiles2YourDoor.

I've used cashback deals successfully with OneStopPhoneShop and E2Save in the past. Make sure you send all your claims on time and by registered/recorded delivery. I have had problems with my claim going missing, cheques not arriving, etc. but in (almost) every a case an email or two got it sorted.

I've always managed to claim my cashback in full, except once about 5 years ago when the comapany went into receivership. I still occasionally get letters form the receivers telling me how much of the remaining money in the company they've spent now and fully expect to never get anything back. That's why I stick with companies that are subsidiaries of Phones4u or CarPhoneWarehouse now - they're much less likely to go bust (but it could still happen).

Originally they used to send the claim forms with your phone/contract and it was up to you to remember to send them on time (write it on your calendar!). The latest ones rely on them sending you a claim form and you have 30 days to return it. Surprise, surprise the claim form didn't turn up!! A quick email and I got the cheque a few days later without having to submit the claim. However my wife is on the same contract and is still waiting for her cheque (but she has managed to successfully claim the 2nd of 4 cheques).

Basically you usually (almost always) manage to get all your cashback if you're willing to go to a bit of trouble - keep track of when each claim is due and get in touch (I prefer to do it by email so I have a record of what was said, by whom and when). I've successfully had contract phones for 4&1/2 of the last 5 years and paid very little for my calls in that time (and nothing for a selection of basic phones).

Going through Quidco has probably more or less wiped out the little I have paid - when the contract expires you always end up with a week or two where you have to give notice after making the last claim.

If you do miss a claim you could always try lying (worked for me once when I forgot, I sent a plausible and upset sounding email claiming I'd posted the thing weeks back). Once you've missed one the terms of the contract state that all subsequent claims are invalid (but I would ask Trading Standards or OfCom about this if you find yourself in this position as I understand this is why they object to these schemes so strongly) so it is really important no to forget.

I once had a cashback scheme that was partly an auto cashback and I got the money no problem, but they're just as likely to "forget" to send the cheque as they are to "forget" to send a claim form. Always enter into one of these contracts on the assumption that the company you're dealing with are stupid and/or crooked and you'll be fine!

Mobile calls are so cheap these days I really don't understand why anyone would put up with all the hassle and risk of these rebate deals which seem to have a high failure rate (ie you lose) for a whole range of reasons. No doubt satisfying when they work but any post related to them creates an avalanche of sad stories.

£15/m on Tesco mobile gives me £45 airtime and I never eat into the original amount so my calls and texts are effectively free.

Sound advice/warning with reason = helpful.
Slagging off with no reason = waste of space.

That's not hard to understand, is it?

Oh, and thanks for your concern but I'm having a great day thanks. Just got my mega cheap Compaq netbook deal (coincidentally from CPW) and the sun is shining here in the tropical West Midlands!

I think posts can be misconstrued....As I pointed out in my OP, I really don't care. Thanks for all your input. Fair comments all in all. Cheers

Like the way you used the C902 as the photo for the listing.
