You still have to add the £10 top up to the price of £89.99 therefore same price - add to basket and you will see it automatically adds the £10 top up.

These are awful.

Slow and sluggish, the battery life is utterly disappointing. I shouldn't have to charge my phone up twice a day if I've been using it and once every other day if I haven't. Android OS is rubbish too.

You're much better off buying something like the Nokia 5230 (if you can go with out wifi) as it is a far superior phone which will do the same thing.

Cheaper at Tesco when I got one with £10 off voucher, so as stated above not a brilliant deal.

I just got one and been having a play a few days. In reply to Smithers37, these are a budget phone with an entry level processor so slow and sluggish is to be expected to a certain extent. An update to 2.2 should help a bit and overclocking is possible. Battery life is disappointing, it is definitely a charge every day affair. But with all those features and a 600mhz processor packed into a package that size you almost have to expect it. I agree to a certain extent on Android being rubbish. It has lots of features missing that I hoped would be there. Some can be added with Apps. Go SMS is a great alternative to the inbuilt SMS app, and is free. The next step up on the Android platform is at least double the price and not much better, making the Orange SF amazing for the price.

Haven't used a Nokia since the 3210 so can't comment on the 5230, but a quick gander and it looks ok if having some of the downsides of the Android platform (tied into Nokia's Ovi). I wonder if the Nokias can be rooted and paid apps downloaded free off the net and installed.

Installed Cyanogenmod 7 (based on 2.3 Gingerbread) and very impressed, it is a little buggy but developers are working on it and it is usable.

i have a san francisco - i can get 3/4 days out of one charge - i suggest you try a task killer - u probably have 20 odd apps running in the background all the time - the battery life on the Desire is only 1 day, just about - thats smartphones for u!

but regarding the nokia 5230 difficult to unlock so you will have to include paying to get it unlocked

Except it's an awful old skool resistive touch screen and doesn't have access to 160'000 great apps.

For a real smart phone you really only have android and iphone to choose from. Maybe blackberry just clinging in there too :)

I found the biggest saving on battery life is to switch off 3G and data when not using it.
