This seemed like a great deal to the gf and I when we were looking for pay as you go phones last week for her son but the main problem was we had to buy a nice phone and then pay to get it unlocked as well, adding to the costs, as T-mobile were quite expensive with there handsets.

We wanted him to remain with T-mobile because they seem to offer the best package for his particular needs and he gets to keep his number, so then we found the Sony Ericsson K750i on T-mobile, Vodaphone and Orange offering it for the same price.

You basically buy the phone for £69.95 as long as you also buy £10 airtime on the respective network and if you go through Quidco, you'll also receive £10 cashback, which means after the credit, which he'll use anyway and Quidco, the phone will work out at under £60 for a good PAYG for a kid or an adult for that matter.

I'm not sure if the deal is also available on the highstreet but you obviously won't receive £10 from Quidco, if that's the option you choose but there's always every possability you could negotiate further to make up the difference. :)

Hope that helps anyone looking for a good phone at a low price. :)

Again, the deal has gone down by -12 for heat for some reason, as this seems to happen to every post i make. :-( even though i believe this is yet another good deal.

If Quidco doesn't work for you, you could always try Rpoints, who offer less than half the price of Quidco but then you can pricematch it with them to still get the £10. :)

I know mate, the deal went upto 40 about an hour after your response, so i know it wasn't you anyway, i just hope the info i provided you with was helpful. :)

You could always try Quidco again tomorrow but if it doesn't work and you want the phone quickly, you may want to try what i suggested earlier with using Rpoints and then pricematching it with Quidco.

good deal, voted hot although i'm a little peeved as i have just bought a k750i from ebay for 41 quid and would have bought it new at this price instead, oh well, as i said its a good deal and you have 12 month gaurantee if the 'joystick' gives you problems!

I've had this problem for about a week now, thought it was just me as I'd been playing with my cookie settings.

I've got this phone and it's brilliant. It was priced at £150 this time last summer. I also bought it for my gf at Xmas from the Carphone WH then priced £80 + the mandatory £10 top up, therefore this offer knocks a further £20 off the total price.

Her previous phone was the Motorola Razr V3 which sells for a similar price but the K750i beats that pile of junk hands down!

Also for anyone not already aware the Sony "Walkman" feature can be added to the K750i by flashing the firmware to that of the W800i phone. I got mine flashed and unlocked for £9 by a company called Star Unlocking on EBay - they provided an excellent postal service and returned the phone within 48 hours.

Heat added!

Thanks for the hot votes everyone, i'm going to show my gf's son this deal, as he's very excited about the phone and has been playing with it non-stop but if he also sees that everyone else thinks he made the right choice, it will make him even more happy.

Thanks again and i hope the deal benefitted you all. :)

I received my phone today for this offer, but there's one small problem.

The o2* sim card never came with the phone, the card which contained it is there, but the sim card has been punched out already. However, I'm not bothered about the sim card as I want to put my old o2 sim in anyway. The only problem is I'm not sure how the £10 top up will work in this case, does anyone know?

*The offer isn't on T-Mobile anymore, and the o2 one costs £10 more.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but have you checked that the SIM has not already been inserted in the phone?

Haha. Oh dear. It's been a long day. Thanks for that suggestion.

Right, now that's sorted, how do I get the £10 on to my old sim? I'm not even sure if it is pre-loaded on the new one to be honest.

Edit: Phoned o2 in the end and they sorted it.
