I've had these and the other pair earlier which was on here. Both are ok for the price, but dont expect much from the lenses except colour and protection (havent tested yet). The optics are quite basic/standard quality, similar sunglasses like the ones you get from topshop / h&m etc. for a £5-10. Nevertheless £15 for 5 pairs of lenses which are rated EN166 isnt too bad.

Oh also, this style imo is more suited for female population than male. I bought the white frames for my other half and it looks top notch..!

These look like the pairs sold at deal extreme for £3-4 delivered, I had a pair from them and their great for the money.

I have these in black:

&
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.21768

Both look good, the pbk interchangable lenses are great.
I'd make a guess the Dx ones have lenses with little UV protection.

I bought one of those retainer straps from ebay for about £1.50 that I like.

I bought some of these a while ago and I have to say, I'm quite pleased with them.
#5
Can anyone say if these will stay in place while out running, or suggest another pair that won't bounce up and down while being sporty?
#6
To be honest - save any buy some Oakleys... as you wont get any better than them!

Nice find tho!

I would but I keep loosing or breaking shades:thinking:

Check out the Rudy Project range, I guess a lot of them are more aimed at cycling. But mine work great for running.

I just use some Bolle safety glasses from screwfix. They were only £7 and are great.
#10
UKRBR for a further 5% off.

Got these in the last deal
Good product - even when compared with oakleys
Ideal for biking or golf
Als:thumbsup:o a good site - with pretty fast delivery

I got the Conquer glasses last time, they're great for the money, and PBK is a great company to deal with, I've since used them for some other things too.
#13
Are these good for when its raining? Would like to get glasses for when cycling to avoid water/dirt coming on to the eyes.
#14
Do they come with just the one set of lenses?

I'd personally go for some proper wrap arounds, maybe briko's or something

I got the PBK Conquer set in black last time - given that they were under £15 for a five-lens set, they really are great value. The lenses seem sturdy enough, I've swapped them around plenty of times so far and nothing's broken. The glasses seem to stay in place well enough when cycling, and while wearing a helmet it'd be quite hard for water to get behind them in a way that would bother you.

As for saving up to get a pair of Oakleys instead... are you serious? The price difference is massive, they're aimed at completely different buyers in some ways.

I got the PBK Conquer as well and have been pleased with them. I think you'd be quite annoyed if you dropped a set of Oakleys, with these it's not the end of the world if you get damaged.

The stuff you buy from bike shops is usually rubbish IMO. For a similar price, I got a pair with polaroid lenses on ebay. They have a phenominal optical quality!
#19
Polarised lenses aren't the best for (road) biking in this country, imo. I quite like seeing standing water on roads before I ride through it.
I have a pair of Conquers, mainly for the blue lens, which is usable alot of the time from dull to sunny. Clear safety specs for night, and Oakleys for holidays and the rare bright & sunny day in the UK. Lens quality on the PBK ones aren't as spot on as the Oakleys but they're definitely not bad.

Is the nose piece (bit that sits on nose) rubber or just part of the plastic frame. I have some shades i got in a sale a while ago with rubber nose piece and they are the most comfortable glasses i have ever had.

Looking for a replacement pair
#21
That scalloped piece at the edge of the frames reminds me of Dame Edna's glasses!

Do they come with just the one set of lenses?

Five lenses not enough !.....are you a spider?
#22
The nose piece is rubber, comes away a bit too easily actually (I ended up gluing mine on) .. it's my only problem with these glasses.
#23
Ordered, i go through quite a few pairs at work, will see what they're like when they arrive. Extra 5% off worked for me too.
#24
Thanks OP!
#25
Down to £11.89 now and another possible 5% off too.
#26
Ordered 2 pair. Great find. Heat & Rep added.
