i need 4 sticks of this but when i add 4 to the cart it separates them. I get the 1st for £4.95 and the last 3 for £7.95.

Anyone know why this is or how to get around it?
#3
Tis cheap but add VAT brings it to £5.82 and then add delivery at £3.99 brings it to £9.81

It would be worth updating title to show this ..............or they'll be after you!!!

Danny-mac. It also says one per order and web only just below price - so this would be why only 1

Only 1 per customer so you can't I'm afraid

Thanks Captain, 4 sticks are coming out at £37.83.

Think I would be better spending a little more on 4gb of branded stuff.

Would 2x 2gb sticks in slots 1 and 3 have better results?

Sometimes depends on the motherboard - I've had some get funny about using all 4 slots which is a bit wierd

TBH I would usually go on price as I don't see that it will make a difference in the real world whether you have 4x1GB or 2x2GB. If you do order 4x1GB and they don't work just return them!

danny-mac Info on your media centre and motherboard is here

seems to take DDR2 PC2 6400 (800MHz) as well as slower PC2 5300 (667MHz) - these are pretty common.

If you want certainty on compatibility then go with Crucial. I tend not to worry and if they don't work I send them back :)

You can only have 1 and when you add vat and p+p its the best part of tenner and worst of all its Aria the worst retailer of them all. Do yourself a favour and go to scan or play you wont pay that much more and it will be better ram as this is the worst of the worst cheap rubbish.

Don't forget the reason aria have done this is to get you to spend with them what good is 1 stick of ram today the minimum people buy is 2Gb matched pairs because all fairly recent motherboards are dual channel so installing 1 or 3 sticks gives you a pretty significant performance hit so this is pretty useless really.

Ram at the minute is that cheap you would have to be a right tight **** to buy this the best performance stuff is around £14 per stick but if you buy the 2 x1gb dual channel packs it will cost you less than £25 and this is the stuff with heat spreaders with a lifetime warranty which will almost certainly work in your board and not cause you a headache.

on scan on today only they have the 2x1Gb dual channel corsair xms performance ram at £24.66 and if you are a member of the right forums that will be delivered next working day for nothing so for 1Gb of that **** from aria it will cost just under a tenner so £10 per gig this corsair from scan will cost you £12.33 per gig and you would also have scan and corsairs after sales service you would need to be mental. cold cold cold

i just went to your post and voted cold....-8now. see the reasons above

Given that most PC's which use this stuff would be capable of dual channel memory, it's a bit silly to only allow 1 per order. I'll probably go with crucial at £22 for 2GB.

Cheers

Jeff

PS - Not voting cold, just giving my $0.02

Voting cold, it's the Aria Postage Rip Off as usual...their listed price never relates to the actual price.:x
#17
Voted cold - expensive unless you're ordering from them anyway, especially as it's unbranded.
#18
Agree with others, COLD. Postage rip off and 1 per customer is just silly.

Better going for this, if you're running Vista or XP pro and want a decent RAM for not much dosh then this'll wet your whistle alright. Bargain, can't believe how cheap it is to build an excellent computer these days.

Or you can have half the RAM for a little more per stick, still value.

I bought one, it came yesterday. The middle cut-out, is about 1/2 mm off.........so it doesn't fit.

I emailed them yesterday, and they've approved a refund, postage & all.
