PC Prankster - Annoy your work mates! £9.93 @ The Hut

Morning all HotUKDealers!

Just seen this on The Hut and thought some may like one for a laugh or to really annoy Steve from accounting! Damn you Steve!

Worth a post for The Hut's places of work uses alone I thought:

Product Review

Simply plug the USB Prankster into your victim's computer and it'll take over and make random mouse movements, turns caps lock on and off, type out random garbage text and phrases and more!

Handily, the Prankster features a time delay setting, so that after installing it, you can make your getaway safely before it starts misbehaving.

The Prankster is highly annoying, but it'll never activate the enter' key or close or save documents, so it's mostly mischievous, not super-dangerous. However, it probably shouldn't be used on computers that control nuclear reactors, security systems for genetically recreated dinosaur parks and/or zombie experimentation units, captured alien spacecraft or freezers packed with delicious ice cream

Features:

* Looks like a USB Flash Drive
* Takes over victim's computer by typing gibberish and controlling the mouse
* Time delay

Hmmm, rear USB's? Not something you are familiar with?

Man, I'm gonna stop posting here, people have NO sense of humor at all these days! I thought us Brits were famed for it?!

Unless it moves the mouse as you're about to press "save" and it moves it to "don't save"! I wouldn't be happy if this actually ruined something I was working on!!

Most of us have autoplay turned off, or at least a prompt to stop malware like this....

too early I think, only the people who are at work upset they can't be out in the sun are on. The wage dodgers will be on at about 1pm to bump it up for you, happy that they get to have another day off lounging in the sun.

According to our IT dept - using this on one of our company PCs would be a sackable offence. It does look like fun, especialy on a boss who has little IT skills. The payback though is not worth it.

But the person who puts it on would click ok wouldn't they?
#12
This is ideal for people without a sense of humour!
#13
Lol, it would annoy the hell out of me.. although I think one of these that randomly opened porn sites would be good :-D

My desktop is always locked when I'm not there. Some very disturbing housemates at University drilled this into me pretty fast. *shudder*

a quick way of getting the boot I suppose!

I have a sense of humour, and think this could be fun. Not £9.93 of fun unfortunately.

How bout saving yourself the money and just installing a free program http://www.instructables.com/id/Fake-Virus!!!/

I don't see anything funny in wasting £10

Great for a laugh. Watch as the prankster puts it on their victim's computer, watch as the victim reports it to the IT department, watch as the boss calls the prankster into his office, watch and belly laugh as the prankster clears his desk. Great fun. :)

Yes, if anyone is thinking of using this they should have a good read of their company's acceptable use policy. This would breach my company's policy and could lead to dismissal, wouldn't be such a good laugh then!

If you like this kind of fun why not wait until your colleague is about to fly away on holiday (assuming that is an option again, one day) then ring up airport security and tell them he has explosives concealed in his colon. One controlled explosion later and he'll never bother you at work again.

Seriously, don't use this gadget at work: almost every company would regard it as a disciplinary offence, AT LEAST. At home, on the other hand...

you can get it for £1.99 HERE and it comes with way more options, like mentioned before.. mouse control, etc.. also comes in smaller version for discression.. Quidco is £5 also so in effect they pay you £3 to take it,,,,,,,

very cheap indeed, dunno if any1 can go lower than that
#25
I think I must have the equivalent installed in my SkyHD box.

"Controlled Explosion"?? There's actually no such thing - you have no control once it's started. I bet you can't stop one halfway through.

Well, I think it looks kinda fun... hot from me, for what it's worth... just be careful ;-)

ignore the old grumps with no GSOH :w00t:

i prefer to do a screen dump of my victims desktop and then turn it in to a wallpaper whilst hiding all of the exiting icons / shortcuts then watch them click away on the wallpaper all to no effect. Far less serious and avoids breaching any company computer policies.....been a while since I done it but did have a few of us in stitches at the time.

Judging by what it does, it's probably a USB HID device, rather than a USB Mass Storage device, so disabling autoplay will probably have no effect on devices like this. :-(

Do not like!
