Does it really matter?

How often are you moving a desktop case that it requires wheels?

Not that often but needed to do it yesterday twice and because thick soft carpet and heavy PC case I nearly broke my fingers(could not put them underneath the case).
It is not for every day use but I think it is good to have it.
£5.99 won't kill me :{

Why? You can widen them depending on you pc case width.

My Case is as wide as it is deep and tall, so basically the size of 2 cases stuck together, and the mobo hangs in the middle of the case, so it would not matter if i did put it in the wrong way round ;)

I am at my OH atm so no pic sorry but it is similar to item number 120679858409 on ebay but mine is a bit wider and has aluminum drive bay covers and 12cm ally Fan with filter there too. I like it and it is such a cool case in any heat (I mean cool as in heat not as in down with the kids ;) The CPU, GPU and cards are on 1 side of the case and the other side has all the drives and the power supply in :)

P.S. It has casters built into the case too ;) so i dont need this anyway but still gave you heat ;) lol

Interesting item. I needed something like this for my server case, but this would block the bottom fan from my case, I bought these instead though from eBay, works a treat.

For me, quite frequent. As I tend to tinker with my server, and it's dam heavy, current has 19 HDDs :p, so yeah, having castors are useful :p.

Forgotten: Have some heat :)

There’s a much better solution than this. Make a smooth bottomed box that will fit under your PC and glide over the carpet. If you make it about 9 inches tall, it will raise your PC to a level that is just beneath your desk. Your PC will be easier to reach and it will not draw in so much dust.

@Downhill - Suppose it depends how utilitarian you are about your pc, I want it to look presentable too. Sometimes this will aid the pc (e.g. cable tidying looks good and helps airflow) and sometimes like this I just want my peripherals to match. I'm not a real audiophile so when I bought my speakers for instance I went for, subjectively, the best looking speakers as they had a silver trim and so did my case, keyboard and monitor. So yes in my case colour does matter.

I won't need this atm anyway as my desk has a wood bottom on two metal struts so the wheels would just slide about. It could also benefit from being partially blank to aid airflow with the case?

Can't imagine this working that well, the wheels will be too close and your base unit is just likely to slide off it.. I have two scissor style ones, in black, and much nicer looking than this.. however, they too suffer from the issue I just mentioned

Oh yeah.. they were cheaper than this too and look about five times more expensive

Yeah, fine for sitting on, I was talking as regards to moving it - hence the castors.. guess it depends on your floor covering

Yes but once again what do you expect for £5.99.
By the way it says on the bottom: Patent Pending and made in Taiwan.
