PC World 250GB 3.5" SATA Internal Hard Disk Drive £31.30 (collect in store)

=================================

This seems cheaper than anywhere else I've been able to find a hard drive.

Collect at store price £31.30
In store price £44.88

I've been looking at 80gb drives for the same money so seems good to me??

why cold ,, any better deals? as i would love to know as i really need new hd
#3
Seems like the cheapest out there if you can pick up from the store, nice deal.
#4
reason its cold is probably cause people find 250gb kinda small...

for £38 you can get 320gb (ebuyer 142569) for £46 you can get 500gb (ebuyer 124228). i bet you can get those cheaper, i'm just giving examples. find free shipping options you don't need to leave the house...
#5
Probably cold because of the value - you can get a 500Gb for £49 odd with free delivery from Amazon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Caviar-Internal-OEM/dp/B000Q82PIQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1233254236&sr=8-4, twice the capacity for less than twice the price.

thanks for the direct link, i couldnt work that out
seemed like a deal to me. I like the way people vote cold without suggesting a better deal
genius:thumbsup:

Edit: Apologies chamelion + SusieM we posted at the same time.
that amazon one is 16mb cache as well, so yeah spose so.
Oh well. Ideal for me and maybe somepeople who might not want a large drive...

anyone know if this would work in a ps3 as need to upgrade my hard drive
#8
I'm pretty sure PS3 takes 2.5" mate..

Voted hot. I don't see the point of the arguement that you can get another product for a greater price! It is a good price for a 250GB drive. Seriously tempted. Thanks for posting the deal.

Slim is correct. The PS3 only takes 2.5" SATA drives.

It's cold because of the £ per GB.

You can get a 1TB drive for around £70 which is a much better deal, and also a lot of people need more than 250GB.
#13
If you need some storage and 250GB is more than enough then £70 for a 1TB is not a bargain, £30 for a 250GB is! Why can't people see that something is a good bargain even it is not what might fit there preferences. Again I say, good find.

precisely - thank you
i only wanted to spend £35 not £70 so this was huge compared to ebuyer's 80gb for example.

It's that most people on here are so loaded, £70 is nothing to them. So when they see a (good) deal like this they think '£70 for 1TB is cheap, plus it's 4x the storage, so this is cold and that's hot'. I guess it's just how people on here are.
