Thats now! Although the Pc World website seems to think 5pm Xmas eve is in 24 hours time according to the countdown
#2
You mean Boxing Day, though the TV adverts say 9am Boxing Day.
#3

I clicked on the site at 4.59 and watched it count down from 24 seconds to zero; then it jumped up to two days to go ? Maybe just a mistake by the web page dev guys.

Starts at 5pm on Xams day, they have a countdown timer on their site.
#10
When you look on the web site it tells you how long to go to the sale starting 1d 23h 50min at time of writing

..you get what you pay for, no doubt that PC world et al have stockpiled cheap goods to create this frenzy (TV adverts saying laptops for £199), I sincerely doubt that there will be any Apple Laptops reduced.
#13
underneath the countdown it says Countdown to sale* then there is a * which says 5PM sunday 24th December 2006. would suggest the sale is on! lol

I hate the way they use pictures of things to advertise the sale, which arent actually in the sale! Surely this breaks some sort of advertising laws?

sale has NOT started yet, as tv advertised sale as starting on 9am boxing day. Links posted so far dont seem to be the january sale, as there is no £200 laptops on there.
#17
It says

"5pm Sunday 24th December"

On the banner though.

surely all the stores are closed now anyway? so whether it starts now or not, you cant get anything till they open on boxing day.

£199 for an EIsystems laptop is still far to expensive anyway :p buy a decent brand lol
#19
im guessing there will be an in store sale ie 5 laptops at £199 etc that starts on boxing day and an online sale that should start today.

Apart from Maxtor 320GB external disk I can't see anything decent. Maybe it is just me...

PNY 7600GT graphics card for £104.99 is OK, but not exactly Earth-shattering.
