I dont think you have looked hard enough then!

I voted it HOT... better than someone just posted a Crappy Celeron at £350 LOL only 512mb of ram etc, this is much better even though it's not the greatest make on Earth, but it's still better.

Gary_rip do you mind posting a link to another Core 2 Duo laptop that is cheaper than this then?

Its even better than the Sony laptop posted a few days ago as its faster and has 1 more USB port.

I didn't say there was a better deal, judging buy the cold votes (I've not voted on this deal) it must of meant there is something better out there.

Deal earlier today http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74636&highlight=core

If you add dual core to this it adds about £35 but is still cheaper than this deal. And you get a decnt quidco rate too.

Cold vote is probably due to the make and average video card (though if you're not gaming it doesn't matter)

AMD is generally accepted to be inferior to the c2ds out at the minute though.

It is been voted cold because the display and graphics let it down 128mb intergr

It is been voted cold because the graphics is very poor and lets it down.

Yeah and the battery life is apparantly 2 hours yet when i read a review it said 3 hours. Its more liekly to be 3 hours.

Still for this price you dont get a dedicated graphics card with a Core 2 Duo proccessor so i think its wrong to give a Cold Vote - its like saying a Sony 50 inch TV thats down from £5000 to £500 is cold voted due to you wanting it for £300.

But if you missed out on the Sony deal and wanted the Sony laptop then this is a betetr laptop and cheaper as well so you might aswell get this!

I would guess between 1.25 and 1.5 hours using a reasonable screen brightness and not much DVD activity.

At the end of the day its a budget laptop with a budget battery. Even PCW state battery life upto 2 hours, and that will be on max battery steetings

If you want good battery life get a used business laptop and then get a high capacity battery.

Getting higher capacity batteries for this type of laptop is nigh on impossible.

I have used one of these laptops. The build quality is fairly solid, but the touchpad buttons have a poor click feel to them.

The battery lasts between 2 and 3 hours of real-world/surfing use. More if you turn the screen brightness right down.

It's actually a re-badged Quanta TW3M, which is part of the verified by intel programme, which means it is one of the first laptops to use standard, interchangeable parts. Spare parts therefore should be easy to buy and inexpensive.
