Think this price has changed overnight as I'm sure it was advertised yesterday as £5 off at £29.97 Clearance price. Anyway needed one in a hurry today and went down to get it at Leicester store and it's reduced down to £27.97. The website price has been reduced too so must be national. Seems to be one of the lowest prices I've seen it in the shops or on the web.

They have dropped the price at Amazon then, pretty sure it was £29.97 same as PCW yesterday

Am I missing something? I usually pay ~ £15 delivered for a 8 port Gigabit switch in a metal enclosure (Netgear, Trendnet, D-Link).

These prices must be a post Brexit thing. :(

Depends on brand, some people prefer Netgear over other brands, some prefer the metal casing etc. Don't think you will find the GS108 any cheaper. In the past this item typically gets hot at more expensive prices! Appreciate some people are PCW haters, but I'd sooner give my money to a High Street shop and keep people in jobs than a tax avoiding warehouse.

Are there any current deals at the price you quote? If so, could you post them?

Think your logic is a bit flawed.

Do you think DSG have never been accused of tax avoidance?

What about the 16000 people employed by Amazon in the UK? Do those jobs not count as highly as one on the "high street"?

Not really bothered mate, can't be bothered debating it, I simply needed it today from a shop. If there's no shop on the High Street I wouldn't have been able to get it. Amazon have been accused of paying too little tax.

This was my point, if you wanted a GS108 I can't find it any cheaper so even though its voted cold its still the best price. If people want to buy an alternate brand they can, it's a bit like posting a deal for a Ford Focus and others saying the Vauxhall or a Skoda is cheaper. There are cheaper switches but people have varying opinions if they are are better or worse than the Netgear item.

Dont get me wrong, its a good deal.
I use PC world, argos or any local places if the price is right or I need it quickly.

Its a decent deal on its own merits without mentioning tax. ;)
