First impression was

"Blow me if it doesn't look like as a cheesgrater !"

Second impression was " ....and what is that going into the black bin in the pictures? "
That's some mighty calluses and dry skin ! :)
#9
Apparently the drawback with actually grating the hard skin off your feet is that it gows back really fast, and tougher than before.;-)
#10
There's a lot of fake ones going around, so be careful buying off markets etc. I bought one for £2.50 on a local market and it IS a cheese grater virtually!
I've compared it to my brother's which we know is genuine and my fake one is rough both ways when you run your fingers across it. The genuine one is actually smooth one way when your fingers are run across it and cuts in the opposite direction.
#11
I've seen these and others in Poundworld. Guess how much they were!? :-P

No need to wait - I have been using one of these a long time already - since they first appeared for sale, and they work brilliantly, like no other product, and I have tried them ALL, files, knives, and many creams. It was so bad, I was even thinking of moving on to unctions and potions before trying a few magical spells, but you know what? Using a Ped-egg, in line with current post-witchcraft era knowledge, the skin on my heels is spectacularly less thick and cracked now than ever before, and I barely have to use it for weeks at a time. Not the slightest sign of a cloven hoof either.

In the interest of testing out a few more old wives tales, perhaps if I bury the skin shavings, during a full moon, will it rid the toads in my garden of their warts too, or does that need to be Unicorn horn shavings? :whistling:

Ha, you are really witty, what a giggle.

I will tell your experience to all the other people who have had a negative experience with it, it will make them feel fine about their own hooves, eh?
#20
I'm just gutted that I bought one of these for £10 in In-Store last week!!! ggrrrr!
#21
ye can get them for £1 in my local pound shop, try your local one you might get lucky

I can bet my life that they're fake as I compared the one to the real one I bought from boots and the filer is a lot different. If you don't believe me, go and compare one yourself.

No, it wont make those who have had a negative experience feel better, but nor will spouting old wives tales make my very positive experience any worse. However many times you say it, Cutting dead skin will not make it grow faster, whatever tool you use to cut it. End of argument.

I was walking about on bleeding split heels, and now have perfrectly soft flexible thin skin in perfect condition on my heels. Not a cheap item at the original price from JML though (I got mine slightly cheaper in Makro), but as I am disabled, and walking on a multiply split bleeding heel is exceptionally hard to do when it is my only usable fully weight bearing heel, I am happy to report it is a fantastic piece of kit from my personal experience.
#24
I know it sounds minging, but it's really good - especially used in conjunction with a nice foot cream like the vaseline one.
#25
was thinking of getting this from ebay for 99p +1 pound postage......so anybody think thats gonna be fake?.....have to think now....gosh!!have anyone tried these?....i saw one person commented that it was good....anybody else?
#26
What a load of bobbins in some posts. You are only removing the layer of stratum corneum of the epidermis its hardly going to increase mitosis at the stratum basale layer of the epidermis.

Yes the callus will occur again as it occurs due to pressure (weight, torsional, shearing etc). But using a foot file or one of these graters is not going to make the problem worse. Also don't share these with others as if you have tinea pedis then you will spread it to others.
#27
I like how having it in black somehow makes it more suitable for men :-D
#28
Be carefull the website is doggy as it displays other's items in the basket also different address.

Ministryofdeals.com are doing :
Two PedEgg’s with two additional buffing pads
Free Electric Ped Shaper with 10 attachments for beautiful nails and feet
Free Nail Shine Wand for a natural nail shine without gloss

£9 inc del + free gift

Might be a better deal for some.

But check very carefully before you hand over your card details. There are a couple of worrying posts about Ministry of Deals elewhere on HUKD. May be nothing in it, but worth taking care - it's not a UK company. ;-)

PedEggFile..?

Sounds dodgy.
#32
I bought the Deal Extreme one for £2odd and its really good. It certainly makes the skin soft but if you don't keep moisturing the skin after then it will go hard again quickly. If you do keep creaming your feet after though then all is good
#33
Has anyone bought from this website? it keeps adding everything i look at to my basket!! Is this definitely not a fake then?
#34
Hmm, I don't use a ped egg but when I came back from honeymoon (lots of walking and dancing) I found my feet were cracked and dry. I simply soaked them in hot water then gave them a good pumice, then stuck on some hand cream and socks. They've been lovely and smooth since. There's something about grating the feet which just puts me off.

I think the OP has posted a web link which includes personal information - I would suggest changing it sharpish!
#36
when did "luxurious pampering" become synonymous with "scraping off skin with a cheese grater"?
#37
These are the best thing ever invented for my horrible feet - they've never looked so good as after I use my Ped Egg. I got mine off Ebay mind you for £2.59 with a free hair removal thingy that works as well!

Well said! I brought one of these for ...erhem...myself and im a bloke! Absolute pile of tosh for the main reason as chappy above has pointed out. Am now using a well known Austrailian heel balm to repair the condition my feet was left in by this pile of rubbish. Also beware the skin scales fall out of the container when it fills up damn annoying trust me!!

And i thought a Ped Egg was an "adult toy".

Shows what a sheltered life I've led......... ;)

I have two fake ped eggs. I bought one off ebay believing it to be real, and my mother-in-law bought the other from our local market also believing it to be real.

I'm not overly impressed with either fake, although they do a job of sorts - although sadly my mother-in-law found hers tore her skin and made walking difficult till her heel healed. I can honestly say they are most definitely different from the original JML ped egg, and I feel we've been conned and wasted our money.

My advice would be not to touch the fakes,it really is a case of if the price seems too good then it probably is a dodgy deal - save up and get the genuine JML one.
