Pentax Optio M900 Digital Camera - 12MP, 5x Optical Zoom

Combining a 12.1 megapixel sensor with a high performance Pentax zoom lens, the Optio M9000 compact digital camera delivers high-quality images with sharp details and faithful colour reproduction.
The Optio M9000's clear high resolution 2.7'' LCD screen (230,000 dots) allows you to preview shots, view captured images and change camera settings with ease.
The M900 features a wide-angle 5x zoom lens equivalent to 28-140mm in 35mm format. From spectacular landscapes to tightly f ramed snapshots taken from a distance, you can capture even the tiniest details.
The Optio M900 features the Face Detection function to automatically track your subject's face to guarantee sharp focus and optimum exposure, for perfect portrait shots. You also can program the camera to automatically release the shutter when your subject's face turns straight toward the camera and smiles.
The Optio M900 features a Pentax-developed auto picture mode, which automatically and instantly selects the appropriate shooting mode for a given subject or scene. Meanwhile digital panorama mode creates a single panoramic picture from up to three images, which is extremely useful when creating pictures of 180° landscapes or tall buildings.
The Pentax Optio M9000allows you to record beautiful movie clips (640 x 480 pixels) almost equal in quality to those recorded by a video camera, and offers a world-time function to keep track of local time for 75 cities in 28 time zones around the world.
It has a high-speed continuous shooting mode to record sixteen images (fixed resolution: 640 x 480 pixels) in approximately two seconds, and comes with MediaImpression 2.0 software for image viewing, editing and filing your photos.
Use code image20 to get 20%, (£10), off the usual price of £49, (£4.95 post added in title already).
Says you are saving £90 at the £49 price, these usual sell from $65 to £90, so still a great saving for a great Christmas camera.
Also a possible 14%+ available at Topcash!, (for the next 6 days)

Beware of this company. I have been let down by their delivery/collections. they have failed to turn up 3 times. I am hoping they will turn up tomorrow. 4 days off work waiting for best buy.

ADVISE you to steer clear BUYER BEWARE Terrible customer service, very long waits on the phone, staff who fail to phone you back.

I would seriously suggest reading the online reviews before you buy! Good price shame about the camera.

I bought a 26 inch telly of this company last week, (cheap one for the parents), was an ISIS, (who?). Started of at £179, used their £20 voucher and Topcash is tracking, (its a start!), at £30.87, (topups). The telly was due to be delivered Monday, it didnt arrive. Tracked on DHL, it was in their Northants depot, so i rang them up, they apologised, but couldnt help the weather etc! Telly turned up this morning, was happy all round. Guess i was a lucky one?!?

You seem like the customer that no retailoer wants.Let me point this out to brain dead consumers out there (I've been dealing with them since the bad weather started) the problem is not with the retailers it's with the delivery companies the last lot of bad weather caused at least 8 days of no deliveries or collections down here in the South East because of the time of the year(It's christmas believe it or not) those eight days of backlog cannot be cleared because the companies were already running at full capacity which is why nearly everyones parcels are being delayed its not just the parcel delivery companies either Royal mail still have a huge backlog as well.So to all the moaning consumers out there blame the weather not the retailers. Rant over.

He posts this on every Best Buy deal!

In all honesty supercasual it's becoming boring. Best Buy have a forum you should head over there as you may be able to resolve your issue rather than just carping on about it on every deal posted here!!

Look, I'll make it easy for you>http://www.bestbuy.co.uk/Community.aspx

As a separate issue, thanks for posting OP, it's the cheapest by a long way :D

Erm, other way round, they own half of the Carphone Warehouse. They're 'quite' a big company! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best_buy

It actually comes out at £44.99 when you order since its 49.99 less 20% plus 4.95

Hot all the same as this camera is less than its ex factory cost and I believe is using a Sony CCD.

Lets see if Quidco track the order.

great price but shame it has no optical zoon (digital zoom is pointless imo)
#14
It does have optical zoom it has 5 x optical zoom as per the description which is high for the price.

I bought one from Argos a few months ago for £70 and it is a great camera.

May not be the best camera on the planet but at £45 with a lithium ion battery and 5xoptical zoom its perfect for a stocking filler the missus hates using my DSLR so she will be chuffed!

It does have optical zoom. 5x as stated.

OK point and shoot camera ..... seems to be what most reviews think. Thats at the RRP of about £100 though so at sub-£50 it's probably a pretty decent deal.

not gonna buy this as not long got a fuji

is it just me or do people not realise what you get for your money, either this or other camera offers, i know that as prices come down with techno goods, specs normally get better, maybe we have become spoiled by the amount of techie bargains we can get, but come on, a branded camera with good spec and reviews for £44 delivered, remember buying a kodak years ago, that basic mobile phone cameras now massively outlclass, £300 paid and that was when on a discount sale

in my view this very hot

I went to collect this camera at bestbuy aintree store todayafter placing an online order.but they refused to deliver the item saying the price is £49.99...and there is no promotional code for this product.
I logged into my account and showed them it shows 20% discount when applying 'IMAGE20'..The manager totally disagreed and informed me that their website has been hacked..and this all are done by professional hackers....funny...isn't it?..Can any one try to collect this camera from aintree store ....
