You can use it on the Mac and Linux but you first need to download the Binaries for each platform. http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/announcement-4.html

Penumbra Collection Binaries for Windows, Mac & Linux
Here are download links for the Windows, Mac and Linux binaries. Meaning the .exe, .app and .bin files for all the Penumbra games. You can use these to play on any platform regardless of where you bought the original game and for what platform.

Good games - well worth a fiver. Requiem is more of a standard physics puzzler using design elements from Penumbra (there are no nasties in it) but the other two are very creepy (if not quite as atmospheric as Amnesia)

As above the first 2 games are great! The third I couldn't get into as much because it just wasn't the same. For a fiver it's very worthwhile!

So you need to have a PC to install the game folder onto then copy to a Mac and replace some of the files with the downloadable file for Mac!
Very cold from me, I don't have access to a PC and it won't install on my Mac out of the box or via download without installing and copying files to/from a PC first.
