Great price, thank you for posting.

Does anyone know if these take batteries? I'm guessing they don't as there is no mention of battery requirement under Argos' full product info. Really want the train that plays the PP tune etc but have a feeling these don't come in the large sets.

I wonder as it was £50 (lol) if they are the ones with sounds?

If anyone picks theirs up or has one can you let us know please :)

Also worth noting as per one of the reviews on Argos, the figures are fixed, and cannot be removed from the vehicles.

Not the best really :( I've picked one up for my nephew, I'll have a look tonight and see if they are worth keeping.

We have the boat and the train... the train sings the song.. 'Grandpa's little train goes choo choo choo.... all day long' and grandpa is fixed, but no other characters are, and the boat has no sound, but you push down the cabin and (on hard floors) the boat moves forward, the figures on the boat are removable, but they are fixed onto bases, which fit onto the boat.. rather than the usual peppa pig figures. No idea about the beach buggy... sorry,

Just opened mine up. Only figures on boat, with stands are removable, also George in the train carriage.

These are obviously the plastic shell of the sound/move ones as they have holes where speakers would be and battery covers. The battery covers have large stickers on saying this is not a battery operated toy, do not use battery's. I removed the screw holding the battery cover on but it is glued down as well as screwed.

Grandpa on the train moves about as if he would bob up and down with batteries and mechanical parts. All in all a bit naff, not that a little one with an imagination would be too bothered but mine are going back.

Just cheap tat!

Thanks for that SavageDonkey. What a shame, can't believe the original RRP given that they are just plastic toys. I'm getting the PP train from Tesco Direct which is currently £9 and states it plays the PP tune.

I picked mine up today, i don't think it's bad value at £15 . You get quite a few figure that could be used seperatly.
