They're not going bust, I asked the staff at lunchtime and they were told today that they'd been bought out. Some stores will close though :-(

I was buying the Peppa Pig helicopter at the time...

#25
The owner was selling it for quid. Not sure if the 20% off voucher works with that deal though.
#26
no more pic and mix..............sad day:shock:

if they are in administration, dont they have to honour all orders accepted, otherwise what they are doing would be fraudulent trading? As I understand it, once the administrators are in dont they become responsible for any debts/orders? Incidentally the site is now closed. Sad day, many happy memories of woolies as a kid. especially robbing the odd pick & mix - on second thoughts maybe its MY fault they are in receivership? All those odd sweets I robbed years ago all add up?

not necessarily!

we ordered some electrical equiptment worth 450 pound 2 christmas's ago from a company who went into administration before it arrived- us along with MANY others ended up losing our money and recieving no goods, and then there's olan mills the photography company- a few years back they went into administration with 100,s of orders paid for and no one got anything!

The only way to be safe is if you use a credit card most of the time they will give you your money back, but now Woolies are defo in administration i wouldnt even risk that- i bet credit card companies won't be paying up when people have ordered after it has been announced they are in administration.
