Originally released on the N64 in follow up to Goldeneye this game has been restored and is relased on XBOX live on 17 March for only 800 MS points.

I have worked the price out on the basis of 2100 points being £14.91 at Asda Entertainment, this was the cheapest i could find. You dont seem to be able to but 800 points on there own.

Link here - http://www.asda-entertainment.co.uk/games/platforms/xbox-360/xbox-360-live-2100-points-card/10021725.html

If you have not played this game and like FPS, play it, despite it being old now the gameplay is superb.

Agent Joanna Dark hit the ground running in Perfect Dark, an epic tale of galactic conspiracies in 2023 America. Now this classic shooter comes to Xbox LIVE Arcade, rendered in greater definition and detail and sporting a silkier framerate than ever before. Fire up your Farsight and prepare for assignment!

Classic action: Play the original full game beautifully restored and back in full HD, 1080p at 60 frames per second! All the original game features are included plus new Xbox LIVE ones.

To be fair, this isn't a Hot Deal, this is the standard price for the game - it isn't a special offer like Xbox Live Gold's Deal of the Week.

800 points for this game is a steal and even if it was double it would be worth its place here as the game is legendary and will be the best selling XBLA game. It was the best ever game on the N64.

Get it and shoot me in the face!
Much better than the later "prequel" Perfect Dark Zero, and a billion multiplayer options to mess about with.
I fully expected this to be 1200-1600 points, grab it and love it.

I always found it to be a bit of a Marmite game amongst my friends. Tbh, most of the people I know, inducing me, felt that Goldeneye was far superior and really just couldn't get with Perfect Dark.

Still, decent price compared to some of the overpriced tosh on XBLA!

I liked the Goldeneye game but this was essentially Goldeneye 2 and i think better. I see why some people preferred Goldeneye but PD took the multiplayer onto another level and pushed the n64 to practical breaking point!

This game has the goldeneye weapons and 3 of the goldeneye maps for multiplayer!

It's hardly a deal, there's only going to be one price for it for the foreseeable future. Cold.

It's a deal because the game is so good and the price is so good.

It has 3 of the original goldeneye maps for multiplayer, strong rumours suggest that if the game is a success, additional downloadable content will follow.

Fantastic game, hotter than hot.
#14
what we REALLY want is Golden Eye, 1 of the best multi player experiences ever

Gamers should be aware this is a classic, complaining about the price is ridiculous, its a Nintendo classic, a RARE software classic, and a ridiculously low price.

If you own a 360 and are a gamer that appreciates games whether old or new and have not played it then at this price its a no brainer. Hot.
#16
I don't think anyone is complaining about the price (or the game) - just pointing out this is NOT a deal. This is the normal price for it.
#17
i thought it was the 13th , damn a week left then!
#18
Just isnt the same.
#19
Hot for me

I appreciate that the people who are hyped for this feel it's worthy of posting, and I myself am looking very much forward to next Wednesday. This however isn't a deal- it's equivalent to a new release game coming out at £39.99 and someone posting that because they're excited by it. This is simply the game at it's RRP.

You have no taste in video games.

Anyway... whilst I'm inclined to agree that this isn't necassarily a "deal" as it's the retail price, you are still getting a superb game with a full polish for a bargain price, and I'm looking forward to this as a 24 year old bloke as much as I was 10 years ago back when I was a spotty teenager... lol. Nevertheless, 800 points is retail price, you couldn't get it any more expensive if you tried. I don't *really* think it warrants posting a deal. Lukewarm from me!

Not a deal im afraid its the rrp
#23
Not a deal, but I don't care... I'm definitely buying!

The RRP is irrelevant, the fact is its a cracking price for a great game - therefore a HOT deal.
#25
And WTF expired this
#26

Loved the original game. HOT.
#29
Should this not be expired as its not a deal - yes i am fairly excited about it cos this game is far superior to its sequel which was pants

/puts hand up to agree that this isn't a deal as such
I never played it myself. Played a lot of Goldeneye, but tried it again recently and it has aged horribly. I imagine this will have too.
#31
Was going to post this deal this morning! But wasn't sure about it not being a deal! However, it is an amazing price, an exceptional game, and no doubt will cost me my degree playing it and reminiscing. Considering Banjo Kazooie cost me 1200MSP last year, Perfect Dark for 800MSP is one of the best value deals around in my opinion for what it's worth.

Played so much of this back at uni, we even had a 'Perfect Geek' day off lectures

Setting up bot profiles was amazing, one of them was godlike. We used to set traps and try to hide from his murderous rampage.

Although it looks hilariously dated I might have to buy it....
#33
If this has goldeneye maps i will love it :D
#34
very fond memories of this, actually dug my n64 out a few months back to play it again, the gameplay and missions are still up there with the best, graphics have aged though, the price isn't amazing, heat for the game thou
#35
Goldeneye Facility and Temple levels are in the trailer. (as they were in the original PD on the N64)

But with no OddJob and Baron Samedi p*ssing everyone off it just isn't the same. lol
#36
How does it look then?

I am quite tempted but I'm thinking it may look quite crap visually. N64 games haven't aged well because of the haze and blur.
#37
gahhhh!!

760 MS points left on my balance

I think also complex made it in?
Plus there is Goldeneye only weapon sets.

Complex is probably in there - trying to cross reference from hazy nostalgia alone :D
