Persil non bio in my local tesco for £5.50 for 50 wash. It is close to my 10p per wash price. My first post so shoot me down if not up to the high standard.

I did some reading about the same issue 2-3 years ago, and in Which test they concluded that the powder option is much better, i cant remember the exact details why and how, but i do remember that conclusion was the powder.

Powder without a doubt. I used to have muddy football gear and grass stains to deal with, we then graduated to nasty, unbelievably filthy and oily clothing, and also had a child who had frequent nosebleeds so I'm probably fairly well qualified as a washing product tester! Powder is definitely better for grime and stains and also removes odours much better. powder is also better for the washing machine as it doesn't cause the same level of nasty, sludgy build-up. On one occasion we were going away for a day or two and I forgot to hang up wet washing to dry before I left, leaving it in a folded pile. When we returned it had that horrid stale smell so I rewashed it. After 3 washes with liquid I could still smell it, but one wash with powder sorted it out.
I use liquids now and again, especially if washing something which just needs freshened up, but powder is the way to go for general use.

Is bio also available at this price, or is it just non-bio?

Have they got rid of 50 wash? Because my local one has 45 wash only.

yip they reduced the 50 wash boxes to £3.50 in my local Tesco to clear because of the 45 wash boxes.
