Heat, looks like a good price for a hard to come by game at the moment

I agree it is a good price for a game that's hard to get. The game is amazing! 127 hours in and counting. I've already finished the story so not long started in a New Game Plus

It's ridiculous how difficult it is to find this game. I'm so glad I got mine on release day

I don't own a PS4 but do own a dusty PS3 that hasn't been used for 3+ years. Is there any difference between the PS4/PS3 editions other than graphics ?

Just had a quick browse at this as I intend on buying it on Steam but for PS4:

Available from Argos if that is any help with possible collection.

Base have it in stock for £45 with free delivery.

I've not had any issues finding Nier Automata, saying that, it's only GAME that stock it near me at their usual ridiculous prices

If you have a 1080p TV then there is by definition a difference. Also the PS3 is not locked at 30 FPS, it suffers significant drops in comparison to the PS4 and longer loading times to boot.

However, as the PS3 is the target console, if that's all you have then he should definitely get it in his life! Fun fact: Atlus actually held Persona 5 back so that it could be on both PS3 and PS4 to avoid the sluggish initial sales that Persona 4 had, what with coming at the end of the PS2 life cycle, and necessitating a subsequent Vita re-release (which did the numbers).

A much more in-depth look at both versions can be found here courtesy of the good chaps running Digital Foundry

Thank you! I spent three days trying to find a place to buy this that's relatively cheap. :)
