Just got my renewal quote in for AA, I normally have one vehicle covered plus roadside assistance and home start with complimentary Relay. AA are looking for £105 for renewing this and I've been a member for 12 years!

Looking at their deals, if I cancel and rejoin as a new member I can cover myself travelling in ANY car plus Home Start for £85, with a possible £42 cashback making this a possible £43 for the year.

I'm going to ask them to match this in cancellations, if not I'll take it anyway as it works out £20 cheaper than renewing, minus Relay but i'd never use that anyway plus the bonus of covering any car i will be travelling in.

Great value I reckon if cashback pays out and you need the "At Home" option. Anytime I've used AA in the past it always seems to have been from home for flat batteries and the like!

RAC is 82.00 with 40 cashback from quidco. Same cover as you described.

They have more patrols than AA and have a faster response than AA.

Thanks.

Yes same as the deal with AA I mentioned. I had free RAC cover with my Audi I bought last year and called RAC out once, was good service but AA coverage and response is great in my area that's why I've kept membership for 12 years!
Maybe time to change though!
