Damn! I've just had mine dispatched by amazon.

great price, despite what some people say it's still the best footy game on the 360. Would be wary of the ps3 version though as it's very slow and blocky, the developer has apologised for releasing it on the ps3!
#3
They've released a patch which is automatically downloaded for the PS3 version. It's still not perfect, but a big improvement over the original release version which is why I've ordered it now.
#4
Great deal, thanks.

Good price, thanks OnTheBallCity :) I've added a direct link and image to your post.

Brilliant price, best on the market and don't forget Quidco.

Is this worth getting, i liked past PES,but i didnt like PES 6 on the 360,and i didnt like the demo of this,so i got FIFA instead. Is the full game any differnt to the demo?

Shocking game, still overpriced at £19.99

Patch only lower the quality of the graphic to increase frame rate and still many other bugs not issued.

Price just gets lower and lower :giggle:

Just return it sealed for a refund under DSR (get a free certificate of postage from post office in case they steal it).

just ordered it. I know it will be **** but I just need a footie game to play and it’s a fair price.
#12
It's very different from the demo. If you give it a bit of time you begin to see why it's really good.

I really hated it at first. Love it now :)
#13
Truly a terrible game - When you compare it to how other sporting games look and how big Football is this in country it should have been so much better.

I hope they massively redesign the engine next time around.

You would be better off paying the extra couple of pound and getting FIFA.
#15
Still in the blockbuster £14.99 exchange deal though - so may get £24 to £26 credit in store for this.
#16
Added some tags, great price, cheers

PES2008 is good, not great, but good.
I rented it last week & the online mode was laggy as hell but I've seen a patch has since come out.
I'll be buying this later today. HOTHOTHOT.

I appreciate what fifa is doing. It a very complete and solid game, but its just too slow. The ball just doesn’t come to feet. I don’t mind the arcade fast game play that others don’t like about pes.
#19
Dont waste your money awful game ruined by rubbish online
#20
THE PATCH IS USELESS, it doesn't fix anything, still massive lag. Would not buy this until it is fixed properly. Online is unplayable.

Its amazing isnt it, EA Sports can manage to get FIFA online with no lag even in a 5v5 game and are even talking about 10v10 next year, yet Konami cannot manage 1v1 and have admitted they will have to go back to the drawing board and that there may not even be a PES next year.
#22
I think I'll have a bit of this thanks - seems like a cracking price. Cheers for post.

Wayhey !!!! :)

Just went down to PCworld and got them to do their 110% price match thingy !!!

Got it for £17.99 :w00t:

Should have seen their faces when they confirmed it on PLAY's site :whistling:
#24
hot. just gonna play this offline and me and my brother went 50 / 50 so you cant complain about paying a tenner!
#25
Do yourself a favour buy the ps2 version
#26
I rented it and liked it. So I think its worth buying for 19.99. Or try and do the price match thing at PC World if you can be bothered.

when i ask places to do that they say they dont match internet prices..
#28
Better than fifa for offline play.
#29
I think the game is really good offline. Not been online yet due to the bad reports I've been reading about lagging. Voted hot though just for the offline element:thumbsup:

Good deal but some fans might be disappointed with this latest instalment like I was. I bought the game at full-price on release and couldn't believe how poor it was compared to the PS2 versions of Pro Evo. Luckily I managed to sell it on and recoup most of the money I paid and re-bought Pro Evo 6 for the PS2.
banned#31
Had Pro evo 6 I think this is probably a step backwards, lag is ridiculous when online and the FPS drops constantly during replays, injuries and substitutions. I played the 360 version, I have a copy on the PC but haven't bothered to install it as it will probably be a waste of HDD space. Konami better get their act together for the next game or more people will be turning to FIFA. Voting warm as it is still a good price for a relatively new game.

It really is :whistling:

Let's not get into an argument.
Some people prefer FIFA, some prefer PES, everyone loves Sensi World of Soccer.
For £19.99 you really can't go wrong, they'll end up fixing online; as shown with them releasing a patch, they're trying to sort it out, and the actual game is an improvement from PES6; and of course, another 1000 gamerscore to play for.
#37
ta, just ordered another one of list!
#38
Mines been posted, cheers. Should have it by Saturday:thumbsup:

just picked mine from pcworld. had the usual debate, then passed on to 2 managers. Didnt ask for the extra 10% was happy not to wait for delivery.

As for the game: !&£()!$&!)"$(!)"($*"!) :x
seriously play at a friends before buying.

Got it for £18 from PC World. No real debate apart from the shock on their faces!
