What a bargain!! Brilliant!! Pity they didn't put the release date back a few more weeks. Would have been the Christmas number 1. Never mind, I'm off to order it now. Gorgeous, sexy and WHAT a voice!!

Sorry wrong end of stick.
What happened to peter kay?
thought he was meant to be in this show ??? lol
[mod]#11
Does anyone know if Geraldine is OK? I was quite worried about her at the end of the show.
#12
Like most Peter Kay it promised more than it delivered, at least he didn't steal other peoples material this time though. Worth watching just to see Cat Deeley roaring 'shut the f*** up' though.

R Wayne was robbed!

R Wayne was good, and deserved to come second. I thought 2 Up 2 Down were a bit too similar to "Steps"..or should that be "Wheels"??
#18
glad u liked it folks.

Bet it goes to no1, if it is really going to be released, peter kay is a legend, and the show was original, better than havin nothing to watch on a sunday night. also bet channel 4 got the audience ratings tonight.

omg it is gonna be released. off to preorder it know, heat &rep added. cheers

Didn't anyone else think it went on a bit long though? It was funny in parts, but seemed a bit self-indulgent.

I do like his stuff a lot, but this was a bit ...meh...
#21
Kept expecting those 2 up 2 down birds to walk............... just got the impression that they were faking it!!!!

Peter Kay, what a genius, but I just couldn't help thinking that Geraldine bird / bloke was related to him. Wee bit of nepotism me thinks :)

Away now to review Cat cursing.......... love it :)

Not at all. My wife makes me sit through all these "X factor; "Dancing on Ice"; "Celebrity this and that" ****, and it was such a joy to see a well written and well observed piece of Sunday night TV ripping into this tat!!

Words fail me.....
Don't get me wrong, I liked Peter Kay in teh past but he was not very funny in this and neither was the show itself. Have to admit the Cat Deeley swearing bit was worth it tho.
#31
I think Gary Barlow wrote the song, plus did the singing for R Wayne in the show, but it definitely is Peter Kay singing on the cd version, much like his previous singles.

Well worth watching, had me in stitches!

She watched both shows tonight (while I missed the first) and told me she was in stitches watching with the first one though sadly I somehow still don't think it's gonna make her see the light.

Looking on the bight side though I praise the lord every day for the fact that she hates Big Brother. I'd never get to see a bl00dy thing on telly otherwise! :-D
#33
Ahh, yeah, as per Wikipedia;

"The single The Winner's Song was written by Peter Kay and Gary Barlow and is released in HMV Stores on October 13th."
#34
R Wayne was the funniest part of the show rest of it was a bit pants.

Are penguins edible?

Oh, and I should have added "Big Brother" to that list of twaddle I have to watch, and anything that begins with the word "Celebrity....". I usually have a "Thank **** Big Brother's finished for another year" party.
Still, she REALLY can't complain when I sit down to watch MOTD or Sundays on Sky Sports.

Gotta agree with you on this 1 quizzy, this ENTIRE show was a poor showing for the LEGEND that is Mr Peter Kay!
The novelty of the **** take kinda wore thin after 30 mins, they didnt half kick the **** out it for the 2 shows, the whole thing could have been condensed into a 5 min tv sketch.
I dunno maybe it's for charity and well done if it is, but on a comedy level it was very POOR!!
Peter kay should get back on the road and do what he does best, STANDUP, he hasn't toured since 2003/4 and seems to have to much of a fondness for the cross dressing for my liking.
Good idea on paper, didn't transfer so well in the end product.
#38
I thought it was over-hyped rubbish. It had alot to live up to and didn't deliver. Shame.

If I thought that this song could stop the X-factor guaranteed-number-one-for-Christmas-even-if-it's-pants CD getting there then I'd buy five copies. :whistling:
