I asked a friend of mine (who sells outdoor gear for a living, including these particular boots) if these are any good and he said "Avoid, absolute rubbish". Very cheap, but if the quality is bad then only a bargain for very light/occasional use IMO (lets face it, you don't.want them falling apart or letting your feet get soaked mid-hike). Incidentally, he's not slating them to "sell me up", he advised me to buy some better quality ones but not from the chain he works for (as they're not the cheapest for what I want).

Seem cheap enough for a pair of winter boots. I only walk to the car so should last a bit :)

I got a pair of these for about the same price a couple of years ago. Not great quality by any means but comfortable to wear and they lasted 2 years of regular dog walking before splitting (both boots at the same time oddly) at the toe. Serious walkers or those that can afford better should indeed by better quality, but for the price these arent bad for tromping round the woods with the dogs (IMHO)

Dont get me wrong, these will be good for alot. walking, hiking, etc. even in the mild winter conditions. but if there's snow/ice i wouldnt recommend them.

I have purchased a pair myself because they are generally good boots

I had a pair of boots like this that I used to climb a small African mountain once. They were'nt bad, but weren't great. As soon as I got them home, I put elastic laces on them and they are now slip-on DIY boots, in which capacity they are fantastic.

I bought these for a similar price a few years back, to wear to those winter football matches, feet have been warm & dry every time I've used them. I'd recommend getting different laces though as they come undone due to ot being long enough to put the trusty double knot in them
