Cold. Supermarket fuel is cheaper for a reason; stick with tried and tested branded fuels. more expensive, but better for your engine and better additive packages.

You have obviously only used their Smart Price fuel. Try their Extra Special range next time, it made my car 30% faster!

voted hot but expect people that don't live in Wales or don't drive or ride a bike everywhere or use the bus to vote cold. it's no longer if it's a good deal on here. it's whether it helps the voter specifically ;)

A good deal for you isn't a good deal for me. I think everybody is unique?

Good on you Sosban. Enjoy, ( why are some people so anti on here? ) If somebody can buy something that is a deal to them, and perhaps to others in the vicinity, then be fair to them, as there may be a deal tomorrow that can be got somewhere that Sosban cannot access. You win they lose!

According to Walesonline, this is a special promotion at this Asda store only for the Bank holiday weekend. Ends Monday, Morrisons in Barry are also the same price.

I used to work for Shell and I know that this is marketing BS. Same as all the other additives. Shell, BP, Esso etc supply supermarkets with the same fuel as their own franchised forecourts. None of this is a secret and has been reported on numerous times in all the media along with the marginal effects of additives, so why trot out the same old wives tale?

Worked on a forecourt for years & tanker drivers would tell you it matters not where they deliver to, they fill whichever trailer they are pulling at the time under the same gantry fillers. I asked one of them one day "where do you fill up your car" - reply Asda it's the same stuff but cheaper than the forecourt operators.

How many people on here "used to work for Shell"?
