Mothercare currently have Phil & teds Sport (Red or black) on sale.
You can get all the above as follows:
Sport pushchair £259.99
Cocoon £43.99
Double seat £65.99
Double Raincover £21.99

However there is code for 10% off (AF8 - thanks to OP on here) which brings total to £349.95
Taking into account 6% quidco, the amount paid calculates to £329. That is the best price I have been able to find.

Can the cold voters please tell where you can get a better deal? Would love to know as I need one of these.

I bought this from Mothercare online, in November, with a 10% off code, and a promotion. It cost me £242.99. For the full set up, so think this price is very cold.

You mean you got the pushchair, the double seat, cocoon & rain cover all for £242.99?? That's strange because I have been checking Mothercare for past 6 weeks and it has never been that cheap for me. :?

But I didn't vote it cold. It's just if you wait for a deal, you will get a better price and frankly (having had 2 of these) I would not pay £349 for it. The child in the back gets really bored and there is no shopping basket (it's for their feet) and the cross over from newborn-toddler is rubbish (too big for the newborn compartment, too young for the rear seat.) Jane Powertwin is much nicer.

Gosh that is strange isn't it... Maybe I am lying. I got the full set up in grey, dlivered from Mothercare at the beginning of November for that price, (after quidco). I will log into Mothercare and post my order history if you don't beleive me. It's the only reason I bought it, because it was under £250, which was our budget.

I didn't say I don't believe you - I just can't believe I missed out on such a good deal. We have a limited budget & definately can't afford Jane Powertwin. Hence I have been searching for what seems like ages to get a good deal and this is the best I can find - unless anyone can point in a better direction?

£252.89, with quidco, which tracked fine. I am not posting my whole order as it contains personal information. You asked why it was getting cold votes and I suggested why. I have also stated that I feel you will get a better deal if you wait until a better deal comes along (definately after christmas as shops will be desperate to sell things)
At the time I purchased, the pushchair had £100 off, the accessories had each between £10-£20 off and I had a 10% code and quidco.

I got a powertwin off ebay!! I couldn't afford it either, but with my 6th baby on the way and the eldest being only 9, I have tried most buggies out at some point!!!

I wouldn't bother with the 'cocoon' if moneys tight. With my first P+T I used blankets and it was just fine. (And lasted the baby longer.

Thanks for that - I have spent ages reading about all the different types of tandems etc. Have "test driven" so many so it's good to get first hand experience from people. Unfortunately where I am, there is not much on ebay.
Not sure we can wait until after Christmas though - that's the problem - I've been holding out, waiting for prices to come down but not much has happened.

Also I'd be wary of the customer service, one of the tyres was punctured when it arrived (the inner tube failed to inflate) as I had only just received it, I called the customer care. The lady ordered me a new inner tube, which had an estimated delivery (from P+T) of 10 days. It still hasn't arrived yet. I didn't get mine locally off ebay, but it's very easy to get a courier arranged (ebay courier)for under £10. Most sellers are happy to bag it up if you arrange delivery. I got the powertwin for £210 delivered.

I thought this when i bought the P&T for my wife who subsequently borrowed a cocoon from her friend. when you see the benefits I would now recommend it (note: my girl was 3kg at birth). btw voted hot

I used my first without, and it was fine (they were not widely available back then) and my daughter was prem too. She suffered from severe reflux so needed her head to be raised by 30degrees. We managed fine without and she was very comfortable, the space also lasted her for longer. I did say that if money was tight then you can manage without. I am sure (having now got one) that it is a nice item, but it is a luxury and not necessary (£40 odd quid for a few months) and I would have struggled with it having to raise my daughter so much. Being on number 6, you realise quite how much stuff is completely unnecessary and costs a lot of money, for little people who grow so fast.:santa: There is a credit crunch after all!
(Sorry LOL just reread and realised your daughter was not 3LBS, but 3KG!!!!!!!! Mine was 5lb (under when she came home)!!)

BTW I used a code of here last week (can't remember which one -doh) but it actually gave me 10% off and £10 off!!! So try all of the ones you can find on here. It may have been one that says ELC as well, as despite the fact I bought maternity clothes, it deducted 10% (£11.40) and £10. Which meant a total reduction of £21.40, off a £114 spend. Which was nice.

I have a Phil and Teds its just over 17 months old and I an looking for another, they are grat for young children mine are only 17 months apart, but they are not built well hence having to look for a replacement!!!:santa:
